sounds good. I've also sent you a request. Here's mine if you want to check it out:

Why must you be argumentative?
So, and I know several people will disagree with me here, but I'm Wide Awake is Conor's best work. Ever. I thought that album was absolutely amazing. The reason I didn't expect much from Cassadaga was due to the Four Winds EP's rather bland showing.
I'd like to know what is bland about Reinvent The Wheel, Smoke Without Fire and Tourist Trap (probably one of Oberst absolute best)?

Here's a chance for them to perform Leave Me (Like You Found Me) at last.

Don't know if someone mentioned it already but you can get it here:

I have no Idea if it's the same as Volume 101.

Hi there,
So I've got a new Ipod for my birthday and I want to put videos of wilco in it to watch whenever I feel like it. Impossible Germany live @ ACL is a cool addition for instance. The thing is when converting my video files into .m4v (the ipod video format) all my .mpg turn soundless. That leaves me only with the .mov files . I have 3 (ELT (99), Kamera (02), and Red-Eyed And Blue I Got You (99)) all from thedvdproject.net . There used to be several others on the site but they are gone. I remember great versions of The Lonely 1 (96/97?) and ITMWLY (02) were available. Does anyone by any chance has those .mov files or any other cool wilco's?
Thanks
Victor

It's looking alright. Not excellent but alright.

It's really not clear wether the quality is good or not but it's here:

Going to see them on Nov. 15th at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. What kind of a show do they put on? I'm sure a few of you have seen them before.
Tks,
TBR&R
You're in for a treat. As I mention on this board somewhere before, my band supported them last november for 2 shows in France and they blew our mind. They are a bunch of very nice people as well.

Let's find out using the "What if" machine.

excellent. They should play In A Future Age more often. It's so good with this line-up.

in all honesty, ME!
In fact, i was in contact with the management 3 weeks ago about my band opening for them in Belgium and Spain. I'm waiting for their decision. Still it's a long long shot.

JASON COLLETT - IDOLS OF EXILE
Listen to it this morning. Not a weak tune there.
-
Everything by Luke Haines (The Auteurs, Baader Meinhof, Black Box Recorder) My favorite being
A masterpiece of songwriting about child murders produced by the great Steve Albini.
-
2:04 - 2:08 into Poor Places. It might be even stronger when Nels is playing this riff live.
-
The Isley Brothers - Lay Lady Lay
I know PJ Harvey did Highway 61 but I haven't heard it.
-
Cars Can't Escape requested.

I had volume 84 for a while. I put it on my ipod to make some space on my hard drive. A week later no more Ipod.

Is there any plans to resurect the torrent section of this forum? I went to http://www.thedvdproject.net/ and saw their brand new volume 101 and thougth I'd love to watch that. I always thougth that the via chicago tracker was the best to share our wilco possesions. (Sorry if I'm in the wrong section of the site).

I've no idea if someone has posted that already so here I go:
Well, the cop made the showdown
He was sure he was right
He had all of the lowdown
From the bank heist last night
His best friend was the robber
And his wife was a thief
All the children were killers
They couldn't get no relief
The bungalow was surrounded
When a voice loud and clear
Said, Come on out
with your hands up
Or we'll blow you out of here.
There was a face in the window
The TV cameras rolled
Then they cut to the announcer
And the story was told.
The artist looked at the producer
The producer sat back
He said, What we have got here
Is a perfect track
But we don't have a vocal
And we don't have a song
If we could get
these things accomplished
Nothin' else could go wrong.
So he balanced the ashtray
As he picked up the phone
And said, Send me a songwriter
Who's drifted far from home
And make sure that he's hungry
Make sure he's alone
Send me a cheeseburger
And a new Rolling Stone.
Yeah.
There's still crime in the city,
Said the cop on the beat,
I don't know if I can stop it
I feel like meat on the street
They paint my car like a target
I take my orders from fools
Meanwhile some kid
blows my head off
Well, I play by their rules
That's why I'm doin' it my way
I took the law in my hands
So here I am in the alleyway
A wad of cash in my pants
I get paid by a ten year old
He says he looks up to me
There's still crime in the city
But it's good to be free.
Yeah.
Now I come from a family
That has a broken home
Sometimes I talk to Daddy
On the telephone
When he says that he loves me
I know that he does
But I wish I could see him
I wish I knew where he was
But that's the way
all my friends are
Except maybe one or two
Wish I could
see him this weekend
Wish I could walk in his shoes
But now I'm doin' my own thing
Sometimes I'm good, then I'm bad
Although my home has been broken
It's the best home I ever had
Yeah.
Well, I keep gettin' younger
My life's been funny that way
Before I ever learned to talk
I forgot what to say
I sassed back to my mom
I sassed back to my teacher
I got thrown out of Bible school
For sassin' back at the preacher
Then I grew up to be a fireman
Put out every fire in town
Put out anything smokin'
But when I put the hose down
The judge sent me to prison
He gave me life without parole
Wish I never put the hose down
Wish I never got old.
Seen that?
