  1. I don't understand why Reprise only thought "Can't Stand It" was the only song worthy of being a single, ELT and Nothingsevergoing... are worthy singles (and moving too YHF so is HMD).

  2. I seldom play the album that is on -

Are you the guy who yelled it that?!

Oh man, imagine if Jeff had played "Black Eye" after that. Awesomeawesomeawesome.

  3. I really like the studio version of ELT, they synth sounds great, it's just a really rockin, summer, song. I don't think it translates well on the solo versions, not like some of the folkier Wilco songs.

I like the production, I think it's a great example of how protools can be fucking GLORIOUS. I think if The Beatles were around these days, they'd be experimenting in a way a lot like Summerteeth. That's my 2 cents.

  4. What's with the hate? I Am Trying To Break Your Heart is a great, honest, look at the music industry. It has a great story line too it (Sam Jones got incredibly lucky), it's shot beautifuly, the performaces are great, and, atleast, I think it's really interesting watching Wilco work in the studio.

  5. Whoa, that's cool that you think that highly of those two albums. I'm curious as to why. I'm not being down about it at all. I just think that's some cool choices.

I'm probably one of the only people in the world that considers Sharp a better songwriter then Cuomo. But anyways, Seven More Minutes is epic. It's a celebration. Matt really emerged as a songwriter on it. It's so diverse. I love how there can be songs as different as "Big Daddy C" and "She Says It's Alright" on the same album but it still feels like one piece of artwork. I could probably talk all day about why "Overlee" and "My Head Is In The Sun" are masterpieces. As for his solo album... it really pisses me off that no one was really into it. I don't think people gave it enough attention, they just listened to it once and thought it was too slow, but if you take the time and listen to it carefully, there's some really beautiful melodies and lyrics on it.
