  1. More importantly though:

    Capo Second fret:

strum the D chord a few times then take your fingers that are on the 4th fret (2nd relative to capo) off, strum once, and put them back on. This is the intro.

then you play something along the lines of

D----G-----------D(with intro thing) D----G------------A(and maybe take off your top finger off once)

Lost love in the desert.__________Lost love on the sea.

    A------------------G-------------------------------- A

You can put it behind you. But it's still beyond me.

    D----------------G------------D(with intro thing) D---------- G-------------A(finger pull off)

'Cause hearts break in the summer._________When they meet in the spring.

    A---------------------G---------- ---------------------A

Broken hearts all around me. But I don't feel a thing.

I haven't looked at the bridge at all, but thats what i see jeff playing, and the outro is just the intro thing on D and singing"you're my lost love"

    Hope that helps

Great, thank you. I like the video, where was that?

There's some really cool stuff of Tom Waits on there too...if you're into it. :cheers

  2. I've got a Gibson J-45 with an under saddle pickup...any suggestions for amping it and distorting the signal like Jeff in the movie...

OR...anyone seen the Silos? ...Salas-Humara dirtys up an old Gibson B-25...sounds incredible.

Don't have an electric yet...but I do have a Blues Deluxe re-issue amp...the J-45 really dislikes being plugged into it though. :no

  3. might want to check out the Epiphone Masterbuilt series...they are built like Gibsons but by Chinese craftsmen. They are right around your price range. I played one that had a J-45 shape and it felt pretty close to my Gibson J-45.

    for what it's worth...

  4. I just became aware that Jeff played "I Wish I Was Your Mother" sometime, somewhere...I can't find tabs on the Mott the Hoople version...has anyone tabbed either version?

OR the version Alejandro Escovedo did??

    Thanks!
