  1. Wilco was great, if a little loose (and I use that term loosely) in spots. There were the forgotten lyrics on Hate it Here, and I maybe heard it wrong but I think Jeff might have hit a wrong note or two leading into the solo on Impossible Germany. He laughed it off, seemed pretty relaxed. I kind of doubt they thought much of the venue but seemed to be just enjoying themselves anyway. I don't think I'll ever see a show at the AMP again. I thought the worst part was the giant fenced off section for the corporate sponsors with big round tables and chairs and a generous amount of space. Eve
  2. Acuff Rose was probably the high point as far as crowd behavior. I remember all the silence prompted one guy in the audience to loudly say, "Shut the f*** up!" (After that, though, the crowd was remarkably quiet compared to the rest of the evening) Just because Jeff's a fantastic performer and can still pull off a good show despite an obnoxious crowd, it's still no excuse for disrepect to Jeff and everyone else in the audience who can act like reasonable people instead of attention-starved children. I guess intolerance is the only thing that's not tolerable, though, so I'll just have to l
  3. I thought it was funny when Jeff explained he was going to fight the alpha-male "by proxy" by picking someone else in the audience to go fight him. I thought he looked annoyed when right from the start the audience was talking and loud "Woo!"s randomly during Sunken Treasure, then I think he just decided to accept it and go with it and joke about it instead of rant. The singing along and the loose atmosphere was great, but those 5 or so drunk frat guys... I think most people in the place wanted to kill 'em.
  4. National Weather Service says 20% chance of snow after midnight, so I'm hoping the show starts on time and ends at a decent hour so we can get on the road back to AR. It sounds like it won't be much snow anyway, but I'd just as soon drive dry roads with good night visibility. Hope it's a good crowd tonight, maybe the threat of bad weather will hold back the casual fans who want to talk during the show...
