they could open with less than you think, if they started at 7:15.
-
There's still at least one song that they're gonna play on that they haven't yet. Hint it's got a big horn ending on its recorded version.
Pieholden Suite is going to be so good
-
So the next time Wilco plays at the Auditorium Theatre we all have to sit? That sucks.
have you really watched a show at the Riv in the balcony with everyone standing? it sucks.
-
So, is everyone friggin wiped out? I missed the first three shows but I will be there tonight and tomorrow. What do you have left?
this is what's left unplayed so far:
-
for those of you heading to the balcony, you better not stand up during the show or else you'll get an earful!!!!
why would you anyway? there are seats, they're for sitting. if you want to stand, go down to standing room.

Dash 7 was gorgeous. i love it.
-
Let's see where to begin. I believe that we counted that there were 18 new songs played last night, but a few Bob Dylan and a couple of MA's are non-Wilco specific album songs, so there's around 15 or so album cute left.
counting Mermaid Ave, there are 30 songs left to play from Wilco released albums (not counting Outtamind(Outtasite) since that's basically the same song). then adding in demos/outtakes from Summerteeth-SBS there are 11 more. so that's around 40, which makes 20 each night plus 10 repeats. which is about what they've been doing. so i wouldn't be surprised to see most of the b-sides/outtakes.

Last night the doors opened at 6:00 or thereabouts. The line was all the way around the corner when the doors opened.
I was planning on waiting in line but the long johns were at home in my closet.
We went in at 7:00 and ended up at the very back on the main floor. Not too bad but if you want to get closer I would venture in earlier than we did.
i've gotten there a half hour early all nights and i've always gotten a choice spot right in front of the board. which is the perfect spot for sound since that's where they mix from.
-
ps..will andrew bird just join the fucking band already?
well, he does have his own successful career, i think he's fine.
-
they're playing the songs they haven't touched in 10 years (or even ever with this lineup) like they play them every night. it's amazing. you'd think they never stopped playing them.
-
I'm never going to be able to hear "Peaches" again without thinking of that moment on Saturday night.
they played it again tonight before Can't Stand It.
-
i liked the harmonica bits. haha.
My Darling came after "how about a lullabye?"
i can't believe it closed. it wins for most unexpected moment.
-

i'm listening to the ONXRT Vol 5 version of Can't Stand It - had to have been from 1998-99. it really sucks hardcore. the one from Saturday sounds amazing in comparison. really goes to show how great this lineup is.
-
i'm at work, but i was getting 4mB/s. took about 8 minutes to get the whole show. so any speed issues are not the fault of the site, that's for sure.
-
i'm sure someone will seed it on etree eventually. i might. i don't have dime either anymore, i never used it so it expired.
-
i believe the torrent is on dime.
-
this almost sounds better than it did at the show. they are so on these days. completely tight and together. best lineup
-
It's not hard - you just drag the files from the site to a folder that you have made on your desktop or wherever.
downthemall on Firefox FTW.
-
i'm really hoping for Venus Stop the Train sometime in the next three days - but I just realized it's never been played live. i'm pretty sure it's a Bennett song but that's still a tragedy...
-
cannot wait to hear Hotel Arizona...
it should be noted that the last time it was played full band was 2000-11-22 - at the Riv

Both of these shows were really good. I would give the edge to last night's show though.
sorry, but i have to say you're crazy there. if you went to both it's a lot closer, but take out the repeats from both nights and compare. tonight's second half was almost better than the whole show last night.
-
i'm still stunned at seeing 16/19 Being There songs in two nights. wow.
