I used to have the DVD volume of this, can't remember which on it is.
-
Daft Punk and RATM would be fun but overall, pretty lame.
-
I like the wilco book cd more than I like AM and Summerteeth combined.
That's absurd.
-
They played it in Kansas City last year, it was awesome.
-
Just type the chord symbols you see in here http://jguitar.com/

At the beginning of the Passenger Side on fobstl's recording, you hear some jackass go "PASSENGER SIDE?!" after the first few notes.
I'm that jackass. Haha.
-
I just posted my recording of the show on etree:
You are a sterling god amongst mere mortals.
-
The lights were shining right in my (and the camera's) eyes which made it tricky to take decent pictures.
I stopped trying after a while and just lost myself in the music
Yeah, that seems to have happened to just about everyone who tried to take some pictures.
-
"You did it at the wrong part of the song! I guess we should play it again."
(Glenn knocks out the beginning drums)
"No, no, I've seen enough of those."
-
Does anyone know the different lyrics Jeff sang in Heavy Metal Drummer. "lifted up her shirt at the battle of the bands..." somthin, somthin somthin.
"She lifted up her shirt at the battle of the bands
He twirled his sticks
And she helped him to his van"
It's a pretty common deviation.

Did anyone get a picture of Glenn with the crown on?
Because that was badass.
-
Well, unfortunately, I did have two young ladies come and stand behind me and TALK almost continuously starting somewhere around California Stars. WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????!!!!!!?????????
That's really unfortunate. This was the only show that I've been to in a long time where there wasn't some asshole making me want to resort to physical violence.
-
Which there, the one about your license being suspended, or being at the show?
Sorry we didn't get to meet!
Maybe a little bit of both. Maybe I'll catch up with you at KC if you're there.
-
I must say, we and Jeff sang it excellently! "Can you take us to the store, and then the bank? We've got about five dollars (between us) we can put in the tank.....(It's all in change, is that cool?)"
We infused the song with pathos and wheedling. Y'all woulda been proud. It was like we'd all been there!
I was there.

Yeah, I definitely want one too.

They played Spiders normally for awhile and then the crowd just randomly started clapping along. The band took that as a cue to start dropping out and eventually it went down to just Glenn lightly playing the crowd clapping/going wild for about a minute and a half. Then the whole band came back in for the breakdown and Nels and Jeff were going crazy, then it all cut off and the show was over.
It was really fucking intense.
-
I'd have to disagree... for it to be considered the best Wilco encore ever, Spiders is the one song that would HAVE to be included. UNBELIEVABLE SET. Can't wait for tomorrow.
The way Spiders boiled into just Glenn and the audience clapping and then kicking back in, followed by the abrupt stop at the end. It was the best encore ever, hands down.

My sister just about had a fit when she heard them start playing Red-Eyed and Blue/I Got You.
-
Yeah, Sky Blue Sky was beautiful.
Also, this was the first time I've not gotten a little bored during Spiders, it was an amazing rendition. I saw a few (officially looking) gentlemen recording the show with some really nice gear, so maybe it'll go up on Roadcase, regardless, one them said I would definitely be able to find it on the web eventually.
I'm pretty pumped.

They played Casino Queen, Pot Kettle Black, Outtasite, Too Far Apart, Hesitating Beauty, Passenger Side, and a whole fucking host of other amazing old and new songs.
This is the third and best time that I've seen Wilco and they were all in top form. The audience was all singing along and the band was eating it up, there wasn't a single person there who didn't enjoy the two hours and fifteen minutes the band played. My mom, dad, and my dad's best friend from highschool came to the show with me and my sister and it was amazing rocking out with my whole family to the greatest rock show I've ever been to.
I also got to meet Nels, Jeff, Mikael, and Pat after the show, they were all just as excited as I was about having just been at an amazing spectacle of rock and roll.

The day is upon us! I'm fairly stoked.

"Grego exctricated himself to the confines of a cold-ass Chicago loft where he, Mr. J., Matt Lux, Jim Becker and Mr. Russ Arbuthnot (on the dials & tape machines) recorded the forthcoming album, "Surrounded By Ruins."
Wilco loft anyone?
-
I wonder if this is in response to all the requests for it at the Millennium Park show. Also, it's great.
-
I look like Justin Timberlake and will be wearing a bunch of hawt chicks!
I'll just have to make sure I'm not looking in a mirror before I introduce myself to a scene like that.
One week to KC!

I'll be there with an international posse of roughnecks and degenerates.
It's going to be a blast.
