Hey all, I just moved to Phoenix a few months ago from Charlottesville VA, and am wondering, is there anything to do in this hell hole? I've yet to find any sort of culture or local music worth listening too. Any help? I've checked out all the record stores, and saw there were lot's of good shows coming through, but sadly missed most of them (but will not be missing yo la tengo in October) so yeah, anything fun to do, any cool places to hang out? So, I was watching the colbert video, and I was wondering what effects Nels was using to get his sustain sound? is it just a compression pedal and a distortion? Joe

I found one at a local store, it sounds great, but how did I get it before the 29th? It's not the sundazed version either, it was the vinyl/CD. What were the subtle differences between the CD and vinyl versions, I tried searching, but found nothing. Thanks, Joe

I have a taylor 214 i've ordered a sunrise pickup for. A few of my friends have them, and to me they sound amazing. They are kind of hard to find, but if you look online (bassexchange.com) you should find one. You can also get a bridge pick up, and run them both through a preamp, sounds awesome Joe
