  1. Here are the top 5 to choose from. All were released from 84-86, except Ole Tarantula, so you may want to include that to have something from his recent period.

Element of Light - With the Egyptians. My favorite. Make sure you get this one.

I Often Dream of Trains - Solo, mostly acoustic

Fegmania! - First album with the Egyptians

Ole! Tarantula - With the Venus 3 (Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey and Bill Rieflin)

Gotta Let This Hen Out - Live album with the Egyptians

  3. I am not a huge Matt Ward fan either (I have not even bothered to download the leak of the new album or listen to the stream on the Merge site) and would agree that in pop culture he is unknown (unlike FoC). I guess I was thinking of it from on indie perspective where he's hardly an unknown and I would doubt any more popular due to She & Him.

  4. Whoa, did this leak? What's it like?

Not far off Deerhunter's sound which kinda surprised me because I was always under the impression Brandon Cox was the main force behind their sound but this show how much this guy contributes to the band. Need to listen to it more but I like it so far.

  6. Only heard Wild Mountain Nation but it's been a while and don't remember much of it...so I guess that's a not really.

What are the other good songs? I'll go back and listen to those. If I gave it another chance I may like it more but I was so turned off by my first few listens that I've never really gone back to it, other than Furr.
