To me it seems the exact opposite of what it does to the FOXNews crowd. It looks to me like President Obama and the US with the international community have Russia and ISIS right exactly where we want them.

I saw them at least 4 or 5 times a year from 88-03 and I think theyre as good as ever now.
I have a bunch of small show stories but they played Richmond/DC/Charlottesville all the time in the beginning. I saw them with less than 200 people a number of times

I had the $$$ saved for the Europe Tour.
At that time the idea of seeing GD in a 2 or 3000 seat venue was SOOO EXCITING! Just the idea of me being down front maybe with my elbows even on the stage at Jerrys feet I could not wait!
Then Brent died and I forgot about even going. I did a lot of the next couple of US tours (which Hornsby made good) but for me nothing could touch 89 and 90. I saw some interview with Weir somewhere where he said that when they were great EVERY night. Plus I think Jerry was pretty clean at that point as well.

the funny thing about Vince was that sometimes I would watch him and he would have a cig hanging out of his mouth and was playing with one hand and I couldn't hear a bit of keyboards.
I used to think to myself "isn't he getting paid shitpile loads of $$$$ for this" and I would remember how Brent was covered in sweat at the end of EVERY show and played and sang his azz off

Im trying to act better but the older I get the tougher it seems. Actually I think they are way more lax than they used to be or Ive just been staying within bounds.

They used to get mad at me all the time for having "vague" thread titles where I would do my own little try at click baiting. Thread titles would be like "Is this good?" or "Does this suck?" etc.............Anyway I don't know why they hated it so much but I had to quit that.

Oh and I would open separate threads for already existing topics. I wonder if the explosion of space on the interweb has made that not such a crime anymore??

I ran out of my "meds" back when I was on the Tweedy type train and was in full on opiate withdrawals when it was time to hop a flight from Vegas back to Reagan National.
When my dope sick ass got up to 10,000 feet and the pressure or whatever started I turned to my girlfriend and said something like "I gotta get the fukk off this flight" and started pacing up and down the aisles as long as the attendant would allow it (this is post 9/11 mind you). I swear I thought I was gonna die for sure.
Luckily my brother met me with a "package" at the front gate and within 30 seconds I felt like I could run a marathon. That's how screwed up pills are so if youre thinking of eating a bottle of percocets or oxycontin or codeine and even Xanax. DO NOT DO IT! RUN RUN RUN!! ITS NOT LIKE OTHER DRUGS!!!!
