I was recently at a Midnight Ramble at Levon Helm's studio in Woodstock, NY and it was one of the best shows I have seen. His studio is great and the music was timeless. Larry Campbell could be the best guitarist you have never heard of. He plays in Phil Lesh & Friends so he does not get that much exposure, but he is awesome!

This shit is going to be epic!
-
to not be there tonight!
-
Unless they have made up I do not dobut it!
-
I really hope that they have a horn section for some of the tunes and also maybe a banjo of fiddle player for some of the Being There stuff? I really dug the horns for Monday at the New Orleans benefit at the Auditorium!

What are you talking about there are some very good bands on this list.

I am content with a balcony seat! There is no point in getting squashed down on the floor.
-
I wear earplugs at every show that I go to. It makes a huge difference!

Dirt Farmer won the Grammy for best folk album! Dirt Farmer is an incredible record! If you can get up to Woodstock to see a Midnight Ramble you should go!
-
Wilco around 10 times maybe, but that will go up after all 5 nights at the Riv. I have also seen Jeff Tweedy at the vic once
-
Trey does look great and I can't wait to hear some new material. I am sure he is itching to get something recorded!
-
Wilco will be rocking the Riv for 5 nights! This run is going to be epic! Can't wait for the poster!

It is BYOB, but lots of people bring things and you pretty much have a full meal. 49 Mercury opened the show. The drummer for them used to be in The Band in the 90's when Levon was playing bass. It was a great experience and I really hope I can make it too more of them. I in his newsletter that spring tour dates will be annoucned soon. He is doing some shows on the east coast now. People need to see these rambles because it is an unbelieveable experience.

I attended my first Midnight Ramble at Levon Helm studios in Woodstock, NY and it was an incredible experience. The tickets are a bit pricey at $150, but considering you are at his home/studio it isn't that bad. The music was fantastic and his band is very tight! The band consists of Levon Helm, Amy Helm, Teresa Williams, Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan, Phil Lesh), Brian Mitchell, Mike Merritt (Max Weinberg Band - Conan O'Brien), Jimmy Vivino (Max Weinberg Band - Conan O'Brien), Little Sammy Davis, Erik Lawrence, Steven Bernstein.
If you can make the trip you should definetly go! I am already planning on making a trip back!

I just got my tickets in the mail!!!!
-
The Green Mill is right across the street and the Uptown Lounge is right there as well.
-
I got an email from music today and my tickets were shipped priority mail!!!!
-
I have not received mine either.
-
No way.... Wilco is playing my living room for NYE!!!
-
Susan,
Do you know if there will be a re-release of tickets on the day of the show? I thank you for your time in advance

I am looking to see if anyone has an extra or two?
-
It is interesting that they sent them as 5 individual tickets rather than one ticket and redeeming it for a wrist band. Anyone else get theirs?

The song Peaches by PUSA brought Wilco out for the 2nd encore. It was very cool. The lights came up and the song came on and people went crazy!
