Can someone answer this tangential question: In the Tweedy interview righ Jeff Garlin, Tweedy said the band didn't play songs off of Wilco (The Album) for a few years because the band didn't want to pay to play their own songs. Was there some type of legal battle over the rights to Wilco (The Album) that I missed?

I was there in the second row, and I have to say that it didn't seem to me that Jeff was annoyed. Or, if he was, he certainly seemed to laugh at the obnoxious people rather than get pissed. He smiled/laughed throughout the show. Considering that the next two shows weren't longer, it's probably reading too much into things to think Jeff was really pissed. He would have had every right to be, but it didn't look like he was.

Unfortunately, I have to leave town and will miss this. I've got one ticket in the balcony. I'll accept any reasonable offer. If you're in or near Ann Arbor, I can even deliver the ticket to you. Josh joshmound@gmail.com
