I'm disapointed but I saw them at ATP in the UK in April of this year. So, I'm probably not as gutted as those who have not seen them in ages. I live in Liverpool and I usually go to the Manchester shows. They were playing the usual venue that I have seen them at since the Being There tour and it's always packed out. Wilco are more popular now in the UK than they have ever been, so I would be amazed if it is down to poor ticket sales. Although, having said that, the tickets were nearly twice the price they normally are for Wilco. They came to over

Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Feck!!!! Whoever it is, get well soon.

they were great at ATP - best I've ever seen them. think they played War On War as well. Band Of Horses were excellent but Wilco was the best of the weekend, followed closely by Mogwai.

My first reaction was that it was ok but not Wilco's best. I would have given it 3 stars out of 5. Now I'd say 4 stars and after seeing them at ATP in UK at the weekend, those SBS songs really take on a different life on stage. I'd say it was about the 7th time I've seen Wilco and definitely the best I've ever seen them

Just wondering as there is new band in the UK called Cherry Ghost. I have assumed they have taken their name from the Theologians' lyric. Any ideas?

can someone PM this newbie as well? thanks

same here and you can add Mogwai to that list!

so if you have specific bands you want to see you have to get to that stage well before they are due on? is it an open air festival or is it a collection of indoor venues?
-
you wont hear them on commercial radio or Radio 1, maybe Radio 6. they get plenty of favourable coverage in magazines like Word, Mojo and especially Uncut.

I was in that mostly empty field in 2004, think they came on at about 1:30pm. They were superb. They are getting more recognition in the UK.

Has there been any rumours about Wilco playing this year's Glastonbury festival?

these 'rooms' will not be the height of luxury, they will be basic in the extreme the Butlin's holiday camps are typically used for downmarket cheap family holidays on the plus side it seems they are building a good quality line up!!
