  1. Hey! I just realized that I somehow confused the Early Bird ticket sale and thought there would be an announcement of tickets going on sale. By the time I wised up, all the Friend of the Fest tickets were gone. (I did get 3 day passes, so we're going, but, if I can make the experience all the more relaxing and enjoyable for my wife, I'd like to try to.) So, if anyone has Friend of the Festival passes that they don't think they are going to use, please let me know.   2. When it was released, I loved "Monster." Revisiting it a few times since then, I think it's dropped in ranking compared to other R.E.M. records, but, "Tongue" and "Let Me In," are still the standouts and a couple of their best songs, IMHO.
  3. I didn't stand up because I was a bit embarrassed by the high number of requests I made. I was making the requests on the Wilco site while I was on-hold during phone calls... I'd like to think this says a lot about hold times and less about my determination to get my song played, but that's probably not the case.
  4. A really great show. We caught the Portsmouth Tweedy show in July and this one was better. (Maybe it was just because I was more familiar with the songs.) Either way, everything sounded great. As mentioned in the posts above, Jeff was in good form, and kept the mood light. I would say I wasn't thrilled with the woman who sang along with "You and I," but, since I was the one who requested "My Darling" a few too many times, I feel like I am in no position to cast aspersions.
