  3. I held out as well and am glad I did. I listened on the good stereo system last night. I'm pleasantly surprised the songwriting and playing is still holding up. The sound production is once again void of any musical energy though, and I don't know how they keep ending up with these lifeless recordings. It's at least three albums in a row now. But apart from tracks 5,7 & 9, there are some great moments.
  4. I was glad the sound was good in the first balcony anyway. It was controlled and they utilized the decent acoustics of the theater. I must admit only two new songs and the fact they seem to be in a comfort zone now, kind of bummed me out. They keep favoring the same songs with this line-up and no new arrangements. I guess he wasn't kidding when he said not a lot of practising lately.

"Elderly ushers shining flashlights in people's faces telling them to sit down just ain't right". ditto above
  9. Now I know why I have to see my favorite bands standing up in dumpy places. I can't believe the complaints about the crowd and the venue. Wouldn't someone who is more concerned about dancing, and what other fans are doing at the show than watching the band, be the poser? I can't think of a more fitting description. May I suggest a dance club for dancing, and State St. for people watching? This is the best venue Wilco has ever played. It was like hearing the band for the first time. I didn't think Jeff was more quiet than usual, and the comment about being able to "lay you all out" if the cr
