"Sarcasm" in text messages. You often can't tell if this person is being an asshole, or just trying to be funny. Just say what you mean, please.

Great question.
Let's see. Ottawa and Montreal are the only Canadian teams that I can think of from the East that have been in the finals in the last 20 years.
Ottawa played the Ducks, And Montreal played LA and... Calgary! ding ding! 1989. Dougie Gilmour.
AAAAh hell, how could I not remember that?!?!?! When Lanny scored I almost hit the roof! That was a great series.

How many NHL and NBC executives would start taking cyanide tablets if the finals turned out to be Vancouver vs Montreal???
Haha, me and a friend of mine had this exact conversation on Sunday night. I wonder how long it's been since there was an all-Canadian final? Trivia, anyone?

I would say the artist that got me through the worst of it was Jeff Buckley.
His cover of Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" will soothe even the most tortured of souls.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or favorite albums/artists that have a theme of redemption or overcoming personal demons or addictions. Even songs that have helped YOU through some nasty stuff.
Let's just say 2009 was pretty much a disaster for me and now I am "behaving" myself and trying to put all the pieces back together. One album I am loving is Stevie Ray Vaughan's 'In Step' right now.
Looking forward to your input. I know there are a lot of great music lovers here. Thanks in advance!

Belle and Sebastian's "The Boy With The Arab Strap" always makes me smile. Andrew Bird also never fails to put me in a great mood, it must be all the whistling . "Noble Beast" is just.... wonderful!

Time to take flight, Hawks.

I guess we'll have to wait for Uncle Tupelo's reunion in 2012.
If that happens, I will be ready for the world to end

Some wonderful Canadian content with my Sunday morning coffee.

Giving this a first listen while drinking a few cups of tea and writing out lyrics for recording this weekend. Have to say, I dig it.

St. Vincent is so 2009.
Oh, I know. Just posting that made me feel older.......

I'm guessing it will be somewhere in Canada. Montreal maybe ...
Do any Canadian teams have the superstars on their team to draw the viewers wanted for this huge event? Yes, the spectacle alone would be amazing to see on Canadian soil, would make this hockey nut tune in for sure.
How about an outdoor battle of Alberta??????

Starting to absolutely love this. What, I'm only 8 or 9 years too late?
I LOVE this band! I saw them open for Sarah Harmer in 2002, somewhere around there anyway. At Rush Hour The Cars is my favorite album by them.
