so ive recently fell into a huge dave matthews thing, im not too big of a dmb fan but the tim reynolds stuff is amazing. I can get ever aspect of grace is gone down except for the verse ("neon shines through smokey eyes.....) can anyone direct me to a tab, dmbtabs.com has proven useless, and i usually have good luck there thanks!

2nd question, to get the different modes then u just gotta move the major scale around the neck and start it on different positions?

ahhh i see, i get the major scale and how it can have different movable scale formats, i didnt know it was the same for the different modes, thank u guys, its like i have a mixture of music theory puzzles pieces but i sometimes need help to piece em together

so i know the basic major scale, but I dont understand the whole "mode" end of the deal. What exactly are they and what is the difference? If there is a site that can give them to me tabbed out it would be great. I have found a few sites, and some info in a book about them but it seems like everytime I get an example of a dorian mode, it completely differs from another dorian mode i see in a different site/book

1st of im from Rhode Island, im a pats fan, but it seems that the national media has been unfair towards the the patriots recenlty. I admit bill's tatics were cheating but its not as if the patriots had this huge advantage over their oposition. so i had to give a shout out to a new obsession of mine, the assembly of dust. If you have not heard their stuff (especially live) you are missing out, they have a live cd (the honest hour) which i highly recomend, i saw them at the newport folk fest over the summer and they blew my mind, great great great band with powerful vocals, and great jams!
