No in a way I kind of mean it does sound/feel like Courtship. But as "silly" as that song is..I like it. That song has a kind of movement and vibe of the times. A kind of late 1970's bubblegum soulful groove. Kind of like BSB, the overall feeling...fun, lovely, but not meaningful.

To understand the overall mood of this album, I would say think of the theme song of The courtship of eddie's father as a musical and lyrical reference.

it does not suck.

i mean worse is a harsh term. like i said it's a good album all of these albums are pretty close to one another and could easily be swaped out in order based on mood.

it's sooo quite on the mp3 hard to tell...but sounds pretty much the same.

not sure what the mp3 version is like..this definately sets the mood/tone of the album

not sure i understand..does the guitar work sound like the band television?

It's hard to compare it to any other album, because it's different. But no it's not like Being There. BT is louder, more twangy and has the sweet harmonizing.

I never said I hated this album. I said it wasn't what it could/should be. I said it's not a great album. Please don't be confused.

This is a lovely album. The production is great. The vocals are great. The songs are nice. It is a soulful album. I think it's the music I am dissapointed with. It's a little too even.

I am not here to convince you i have heard it. That would be impossible. I can tell you about something on a particular track..but since you haven't heard it...what good what that do?

You may also note that I love Wilco. And I love every album. (not a.m. I don't love a.m.) And you can note that with all of my setlist bitching I am talking about their setlists, not their music.

It does feel like an album. The songs seem to fit really well together, so that's a good thing. And actually it was a friend of a friend of a friend on a blue sky blue sky Monday.

i have heard this album. it's good, but it isn't what it should/could be. but i am sure everyone knows this since most people have heard the majority of these songs live it just doesn't have the presence of a great album.

Again..same complaint i have with wilco now as a live band. It's too rehearsed. Break free.....break free....let the music feed your soul and we will follow.

wilco does not have hits that is my point. they should mix it up more because they didn't win people over with the hits, but rather with solid performance and great songs

i know there are other bands to see. I see tons of live music that is why i am making this point. As far as being lucky to see wilco...umm they have been around for a decade and ticket prices are always really cheap..so it's not luck. I am not the kind of person who says...yeah i should be happy with it...suck it up. I like a challenge. Tweedy even says in the Q article, Wilco doesn't make or do anything mainstream...so why start doint it with your show. Someone said they have to keep in mind some people have never seen wilco before. That is fine, but these people haven't become fans of wil

it's weird...while i love the current lineup of wilco i also think the tension in the songs and perfomance has become a bit safe, too smooth, and predictable. I want a rocknroll show that could explode at an moment. I know some people think I am crazy, but I guess this is what happens when you follow a band for such a long time and see too many shows. hehe.

There are wilco cover bands....sweet but i am serious with my complaint.....i take it nobody else feels this way?
