Hi all, I said this over in the Boston roadcase thread, and it bears repeating here as well:
Happy listening, everyone. It's so terrific that not only do Wilco treat us to live webcasts, but they then share them again in the roadcase so that more people get to hear them. to the hardworking people behind these gifts.
Those of you sharing these streams, please be sure to clearly mark that the source is a stream from the Roadcase, so as to clarify that it is a lesser-quality recording (Not, for example, high-quality mp3's such as the downloads to help Haiti that the band made available from the site.) Some listeners won't care, but others would want to know. Streaming, by its nature, is a more lossy format.
Thanks!
finally got my computer back from HP, so i will ACTUALLY be getting these up in the next few days.
also, yes, i do a fair amount of show trading elsewhere so i'm familiar with marking source lineage and will make sure to mark these as roadcase streams. thanks for the reminder, though

okay, i went ahead and recorded these and they came out fine. i'll try to get them tracked and upped in the next few days. if i don't get them up right away, it'll just be because i'm working on dissertation stuff and it tends to ruin my free time for weeks at a time. but rest assured, i will get them uploaded sometime soon

hi all,
sorry if this isn't the right subforum for this question, but here goes.
with all the hubbub about webcasts and recording streams and everything over the last 2-3 days, it got me wondering if anyone had recorded the two streams that are currently available on the roadcase (dublin and paradiso). i was going to sit down and try to do this tonight, but i didn't want to take the time to record, split the tracks, tag the files, etc. if webcast-sourced recordings of them were already out there somewhere. i checked the usual suspects (O&B, BT, a few other places) and didn't see anything.
if they aren't recorded and i can do a decent job myself, i'll upload them somewhere within the next few days for anyone who's interested.

I wonder if this new batch of songs is related to the upcoming Jay Farrar/Woody Guthrie thingamajig.
-
Not that I'm complaining--believe me, I'm thrilled with the downloads--but did anyone else find when they downloaded the shows that a couple of songs were missing? Again, I'm grateful--just wondering if I did something wrong.
yeah, i was actually wondering the same thing and was afraid to ask so no, i don't think you're complaining. "hummingbird" and "someone else's song" are missing from the london show, according to wilcobase. everything seems to be on the keyspan show, i think. is that the same issue you had?

I have not seen it up anywhere.
or
The Wilco Club (Spanish Wilco Fansite)
We have an FM source for the same show at The Wilco Live Show Archive.
great, thanks!

Thanks for posting - I really like this version of War on War
all the clips i've seen on youtube of this recording are incredible...does this exist anywhere as a DVD torrent? or for BnP, or something?

It could be either way, but mr. auctioneer is correct, the last show was standing only, but even us old folks had a good time! See ya there, in theory anyway.
There is a cool little vid of the seats being removed, and though it may be painful to see your potential seat disappear, it's amazing how the floors move. I have to admit, I'd rather have seats as well- but on the other hand, the two best Wilco shows I've seen were standing room only, so maybe not
Look 2/3rds down at the timelapse video>>
very cool, thanks. i've been to the paramount a few times, but i've never actually seen it with the floor standing-room only. i didn't mean to be all OCD either, i'm sure it'll be a great show either way saw wilco at wolf trap this summer and it was fun to be able to jump around...

hey all,
just got 2 "GA floor" tickets through the presale, and i'm wondering if anybody knows if the "floor" tickets are standing-room, first-come, first-serve, or if they're first-come, first serve seats.
i must be getting old, but i'm hoping i bought actual seats instead of standing space

okay, i take it back. the download failed at 30%. ARGH!!!

the roadcase members page is back up and the DC download seems to be working. it's stuttering oddly for a minute or two here and there, but it looks like it's going to finish...
-
I thought they were supposed to be available through 4/27. So why they're not available today is driving me nuts! Anyone have any ideas?
i don't know. i'm finally getting my DVD tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be up by then.
-
still not up for me, either. anybody able to get it to load yet?
-
yeah, the page has been down most of the evening.
thanks...good to know i'm not crazy. here's hoping it comes back up so i can get the DC show.

none of the roadcase members-area links are working for me as of a few minutes ago. i just get a blank white screen. i've tried three different browsers. anyone else having this problem?

i'm really excited to watch this DVD, but even though i preordered in february i haven't gotten it in the mail yet.
i'm a little concerned because i heard elsewhere that the "bonus" audio download tracks are only available to be downloaded until april 27th. does anyone know if that's true? i'm going to be majorly bummed if it turns out that i miss out on the bonus content because my disc is getting shuffled around in the mail.
sorry, not to whine on and on in my first post, i've just heard some good things about the bonus audio and would like to be able to hear it myself...

thanks for all these great pics. i really REALLY enjoyed this show (my first wilco show) and i hope tweedy was serious about coming back to spokane, because i will totally be there!

anybody have any idea what bitrate the roadcase streams run at? i'm converting the tracks to mp3 before uploading them and didn't know how low i could go without losing any sound integrity. 192k, maybe?
