  1. CHICAGO PIZZA SUCKS, had to throw that out there, and for the record i checked out local NH online and its not nearly has bad as i though, i always thought of NH as a poor man's harford with a nice college on the side but it seems to be a respectable place

Dude...New Haven is so much better than Hartford, which, besides Indianapolis, has to be the most boring city in the U.S. Please don't go hatin' on New Haven.

And...earlier someone mentioned Black Bear as an option for drinks but I say stay away...stay far away from that place. Frat bar of the worst kind. Rudy's is not too far to walk...unless you're not used to walking.

  2. So has anyone ever seen a show at this place, its in New Haven, so im assuming its near yale, does anyone know of any good eateries or recomendations in the area? i can never justify driving for a few hours just to see a concert, im figuring my friends and i can soak in some of what NH has to offer...if anything, 2nd point how are the seats, we have 1st row of mezz section? should be good but i read in someone's post that they might be obstructed

New Haven has great pizza, try Pepe's or Sally's (both in the Wooster Square neighborhood.) Much better than that gloopy Chicago deep dish stuff and different (and a bit better) than the NY slice. For a small city New Haven has a ton of great food options. Try Rudy's on Elm street for some pre-show drinks.

Also...NH is very walkable. Park when you get there and come back to the car when it's time to go. It's small.

Also...there are two great Yale Art Museums (both free.)

  3. Why is the New Haven show so popular? Everyone seems to want tickets for it, so I'm wondering.

I got my pre-sale tickets no problem today for the Des Moines show. The only bummer about that show is that its GA and that means I still have to show up at least an hour early if not earlier to get a decent place to stand since I'm short. Cause let's face it, there's nothing like a great show spent standing behind some tall guy. No offense to the lovely tall people! :thumbup I'm hoping to get some Chicago tix on Friday at the other pre-sale but we'll see. I'm not sure how many shows I'll be able to afford.

New Haven=closest show to NYC this time around. Tons of Wilco fans in NYC. 90 minute train ride from Garnd Central to New Haven.
