piano filled with souls

It seemed like a relatively quick time from when the opener left the stage until when Wilco came on, at least compared to a lot of shows. At most it seemed like a half hour in between. Possibly a little less though. I thought Retribution Gospel Choir maybe played a bit longer than thirty minutes, but close enough. The sheduled start of the show was seven and wilco was on stage by 8:15 or 8:20 if that helps.

Last night was pretty much perfect on every level. Great weather, nice venue, a good crowd, and the band was in top form (as they pretty much always seem to be). This was my twelfth Wilco show going back to first seeing them in early '97, and it was definitely one of my favorites. I've always enjoyed Wilco no matter what the venue, but this show and last years at the Crossroads in KC have convinced me that there is no better place to catch them then outdoors in the open air.
