  1. I'm hoping for a stop in Detroit around 10KLF.

maybe a stop in detroit but it's getting more and more unlikely that they will be playing anymore shows before the fall atleast... You would think they will tour maybe Australia in the summer and than a late US winter tour.

  2. > I have only seen Wilco 2 times (Melbourne 2007

which melbourne show did you see? (the 18th or 19th april?)

forget the date but it was the Wednesday night show at the palace... great show :)

  3. well I watched the movie today for the first time and have to say I'm very impressed but that may be a biased view as I'm a big fan. I have only seen Wilco 2 times (Melbourne 2007, The Spectrum Philly 2008). I moved from Australia to the states recently so now have the chance to see them more. My point is that I really enjoyed the fact that they kept the talking to a minimum as the musical portions were absolutely amazing... I would have loved a double disc or soe extra's including interviews with the band but I can't complain. I mean 20 songs and a stroll through the south states of America with Wilco is more than I could have asked for.

I have seen so many average music movies from bands like pearl jam (their last one in europe) and have been so underwhelmed because you want to taste what it's like to be at the show. This movie was 2nd best to actually being in the front row.

I loved the interview at the end with Jeff's father and Jeff signing for the fans. That was a great ending. I couldn't ask for anymore.

  4. i was shopping for tickets to lewiston... but i deceided against it because it looks like a shitty venue... and my presale seats weren't that good.

so i will wait and hope they come to Toronto... or I'll grab some GA tickets the day or two before...

got my GA tickets for Wilmington :D Logged in at about 9:59 and had no issues with getting the tickets.. Only waited about 4 mins in the waiting room. Happy days will be seeing wilco a 3rd time!

  5. nope. he didn't come near here and i wouldn't have paid the $70-80 after fees either. i listened to a few shows and watched a DVD of one of them, and you're right, he's certainly gotten WAY better (and that tour only helped too), but I still didn't find it all that great either I guess. he's a funny dude, but on his own I guess I don't find him that compelling (now with Pearl Jam for sure). certainly not like say Martin Sexton or something, where my mouth just hangs open about 60% of the time at his shows.

i'm sure i'd still enjoy one of Ed's solo shows, just not enough to justify $75 (i've only paid much for like 3 artists ever, Bruce & Neil Young (well and CSNY once), and Pearl Jam at the Vic was close to $80 i think.

they are expensive tickets yes but I'm seeing ed at the tower theatre night 1 Philly.. I can't wait for this :D

  6. I have downloaded the audio from the DVD without issues but DC wouldn't work.. I followed the advice from fellow posters on here. I re-registered with the same and than different email address but it say s'this compressed file is invalid or corrupt"!?!?!?!? What do I do!!!!! Any adivce would be great.

  7. maybe i'm stupid, but i can't figure out when the Vienna show goes on sale. when i click on More Info, it doesn't show anything about that date...

same with the wilmington, DE show also... I guess we just wait for more details.

  8. I am in Wilmington and door to door from Philly to the stadium in Wilmington should only be about 20-25 minutes. It's really easy to find as there are plenty of signs on the highway and you can see the stadium from I95.

I'm in for this show.. I had no clue because I just moved from Australia but my wife just told me it was under an hour from here (Collingswood, NJ) which is nice. Can't wait for this show!

  9. Oh god, please not the Electric Factory. That's one of the worst places I've ever seen a show. It's a cinderblock shoebox, and the sound is horrible. There aren't really many small outdoor venues in Philly, are there?

maybe the mann centre but that is kind of middle of the road... I would say they would play at the tower in philly.

  10. I spoke with Glenn a few weeks ago at Bang in a Can show in philly and he said they are definately going to be around philly in late summer (I'm thinkin July/August)

thats what I'm talking about!!! Electric Factory or Penn's Landing please!
