I liked her in Rules Of Attraction and she looks good when she laughs.

 

I'm not so sure if this can be called an autobiography - most of it seems too bizarre to be true - but it's highly entertaining. I've been on a huge Werner Herzog/Kinski kick lately, and some of the things Kinski has to say about Herzog are hilarious!

I also checked out Herzog's book "Of Walking On Ice" - his diary he kept as he walked from Munich to Paris. Herzog somehow got it in his head that his terminally sick friend in Paris wouldn't die if he went there by foot.

Kinski was a stunning actor (only seen him in Herzog films though), and I think Herzog is one of the very few artists who can be labeled "genius", but what a couple of kooks!!

Judging from the documentary My Best Fiend and all the other stories I've heard come out of Herzog's mouth, I'd assume that a lot of it is true. He does say in My Best Fiend (the film) that he and Kinski would sit around and make up insults that Kinski could put in the book directed at Werner, because they both understood that people would only find the book interesting if they played up their disagreements. The fact that they both made serious plans to murder each other at the same time kind of shows how mad they were though - I think Werner planned to fire-bomb Kinski's house or something. You're right, their film work together is absolutely incredible (although I actually think that Herzog's films with Bruno S are better). I didn't know this book was back in print, I think I better seek it out then!

Just started this earlier this morning.

Must be an English thing. Who is she? She looks like a porn star. Which is fine, but these days it seems like the chicks that should just be porn stars have record contracts instead.

She was in Brookside (which is an English soap set in Liverpool that ended a while ago), then she tried singing and now I don't know what she's doing exactly. And yes, in that pic she does look like a porn star (which is what drove my decision to post it).

Richard dear, I have added your name to the claims list.....you too, jhc, although I'm not sure it would be quite legit to do Walken as a tribute before the band has even put it on an album.....but we'll quibble on that later. For now, you're listed.

 

"This thing" as BBH so aptly referred to it, is in fact still intended to be going on. We haven't arrived at a deadline of any sort because frankly your admins are all currently too busy and rather frayed at the edges. (Plus it's Halloween and this particular admin really ought to be getting the pumpkins carved and the candy into the bowl... ) However, bear in mind that Via Chicago has successfully put out two wildly-enthusiastically-received CD's , in the space of 2 1/2 years, which is a better pace than many real bands who aren't simultaneously running a message board and trying to put out the Halloween candy.

 

So I'd say it really will happen, and like the previous two, will be a thing of wonder and astonishment. But y'all are going to have to be patient for now. Think of it as building anticipation and suspense, ok?

I didn't realise how bad I was coming across in that post. I never doubted any of you. I merely doubted my own judgement to work out what the hell was going on! I'm so gald I am on the list, although maybe when you here my version of I'm A Wheel you might not be

Every time I look at this thread I can never quite work out if this thing is going on or not. Is it happening? Is it too late to put my name down for I'm A Wheel? When's the deadline etc?

If we are going for women who looked good in the past you can add these two (although, unlike Emmylou Harris - they're not so great looking now):

jenny agutter (mainly due to her voice, but she looks great in logan's run)

I find it hard to comprehend why he never chose to write more novels, as this is incredible.
