  1. .....

Okay I have one, only one, ticket for Solid Sound Festival. I live in Texas, south Texas, and I guess I bit off more than I could chew. Got an early worm so I suppose I couldn't ask for more, wouldn't be the Wilco way. I'm not really confident on how to go about selling it since I've never sold a ticket to someone that is probably going to be a fair distance away.

Well I hope it finds a good home. Personally, I was looking forward to seeing Wilco, White Denim, Foxygen, and Yo La Tengo, and visiting the natural landscape of Mass. blarg...

  2. "Dawned on me" sounds like something off Wilco the album.

I like "I might" and that other born alone song. It's now evident though that Wilco is done with the real crazy stuff they did with summerteeth, yhf, and ghost is born.

I did here some summerteeth vibes though, just not a lot of it. Hate to see so much talent toned down though.

It doesn't matter when it comes out though because I'll still buy it and love it.

  3. The show was good and had it's moments. I thought the campus was beautiful, coming from a UT Longhorn.

If I were to rank it with the Dallas gig in 09 and the Austin gig in 08 on Mother's Day, I'd rank it dead last though. The setlist was a bit standard playing the hits (then again they're all hits). I wanted to hear a lot more Being There and I wish They started with the unused first encore, getting rid of Walken and Bull Black Nova, hard ones to cull. Cheers for Baby ghosts!!!!

I was expecting awesomeness since that was the same green jacket he played with during the Austin gig, although Cline was in his red rockers and black boots mood, which weren't present, so it was a bit off balanced.

  4. purchased two denton tix

they're left, not left center, row c woot woot, so I hope I'm not too far off in a corner (if) I show up...

...I failed to realize that I wasn't asked a shipping address so it's shipping to a billing address I don't have any contact with...

Calling frantically, but not a soul answers...Anyone know if it's the main auditorium or the bigger venue on Campus?

  5. Glenn and Tweedy should shape the album

With all those nifty tools that surround him, he sure has enough to play with sound. Give Nels three songs to take over that's it.

I hope Wilco had this idea: "let's just fulfill this contract with Sky Blue Sky Redux and save the goods for our own label"

  6. Thanks for the information. I think I'll just make do with the CD (I did get the "limited" version of that). I pre-ordered so many albums this month, I couldn't allow myself to buy much vinyl this time around.

I got mine at Waterloo in Austin. They have two versions of limited editions though. The ones that sold out, I believe, have a foil stamp, and an actual cd rather than download. the "x" version

  7. I hardly ever read, but just recently caught the book bug and I've compiled a short list of books that sounded interesting.

    Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut

What is What - The Autobiography of Valentino Achak Deng - Dave Eggers

The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Bang the Drum Slowly - Mark Harris

The Labyrinth of Solitude - Octavio Paz

In Watermelon Sugar - Richard Brautigan

    Maltese Falcon - Dashiell Hammett

    Babbitt - Sinclair Lewis

    The Handmaid's Tale- Margaret Atwood

  8. I got my hands on a vinyl player for the first time last year. I was always amazed by vinyl even though I was born in 86 in a part of Texas really not big on music. Went to UT Austin, and quickly was introduced to the world of music, through Spoon, not Wilco. The first vinyl I got my hands on was A Ghost is Born.

I'll always remember that day because the morning after, they broke into my car...haha...

Oh yeah I bought it at waterloo, only to find a cheaper one at cheapos

  9. wolftrap. he tends to do that when they start "I am the Man Who Loves You"

I love the Glenn moments. I missed a perfect shot in Dallas last year where he flipped the bird to this guy for trying to trade his shirt for Glenn's famous one. It was a great moment.

The fact that they've gotten rid of cameras, makes me treasure the ones I've already taken.
