LOL. Broke two strings. Bwahahaha... This is classic banter. I actually broke a string at my band's first show... I dunno if any of you all play. But I broke the D string, and I play on the 13s. They were a day old. Also... Nels wardrobe. OMG. the instrumental ad lib!

Bwahahaha... hilarious. I love this so much better than the album version. Especially that double-time drum part... Guh. Beast.

I fail... but without too much disappointment. The ending of this song is pure delay-pedal bliss. I need to get me like five of those...

My money is that Spiders is next.

I think that's actually Nels with a pedal on his Jazzmaster. He uses the same effect on Via Chicago. Makes it sound lap-steely... but it's not. I think it's called a Pro-co Rat Slo-mo or some crap like that? If my band mate were here he could tell you... and then build one. He's a little crazy and gear-obsessed.

Those people in the crowd talking really need to watch that segment from the Sunken Treasure DVD... I think most of you know what I'm talking about...

There is one word for Glenn Kotche: BEAST. He is an absolute monster. He is completely unbelievable. Same goes for Nels. Also... I'm getting some more skipping now...

That SG with the tremolo and the slapback reverb... It is the NASTIEST, MEANEST, most INTENSE sound ever.

It's so weird... I'm going to see them in Knoxville this weekend with a couple of my band mates. None of them really listened to Wilco, but I was so into them that they grew a love for them from having it forced upon them so much. I know this goes without saying, but I just love their music so much... Jeff and I even have the same first name. I'm so excited to expose my friends to their live show. And I am totally going to cry a lot, and I don't even care what anyone thinks. =P And this song is amazing in every single way.

Yessssss... Walken. I often wonder how Jeff invented the ending to that tune. "Hm... I'll just play this note over and over and you guys can do the heavy lifting." Hehe. Spiders. I don't know if they will, but they sure should.

In terms of SBS justice, they need to at the very least play Impossible Germany... I have no problem with AGIB though.

Sweet Jesus... Nels Cline is a god. I love the way they do their older tunes live. It's amazing. I wonder if there's a chance for Misunderstood?

I am currently recording via Audacity. You have to go to Audio I/O and set the input to "stereo mix." If you don't have that, then you have to go to your Sound Properties and enable it... and how you do that depends on your version of Windows.

Pretty sure it's some sort of electronic pad set-up. Different pads on that board play different samples and whatnot... Also... HELL IS CHROME!!! YAY!

Living life on the edge. Also, their intermission music is quite entertaining...

I'm surprised that there aren't more folks in here commenting right now. You'd think the whole community would light up during something like this. Then again, they're probably all just at the show...

Did anyone else hear in the crowd chatter an individual making a comment to the effect that Nels has too many pedals? Hardy har har.

It's art music. It's weird. I really like it and think that it's good... but it's not like Wilco. It's kind of how I feel about the band I'm in. We make music that I feel like is very important to us, but as most of us have been / are music majors at college, we still appreciate a large range of music that is completely unlike the music we create on our own. It's very technical, at the least... Meant more for a concert hall, I think. EDIT: Okay... so that violin is playing just a bit out of tune...
