There is another pre-sale tomorrow through the KBCO website.
Do you know what time they go on sale?
-
didn't get tickets in my own home town... i don't know what i did wrong. i was on frontgate right at 10...
I'm in the same boat! I can't handle not being able to see Jeff in Boulder!!
Maybe there's a chance of getting some non-pre sale tickets?
-
I'm so excited about this. I plan to go to both nights at the Boulder Theater! I've never been to a Jeff solo show before. How much are tickets usually???

THE SOGGY BOTTOM BOYS

ooooh, just came out, but I'm also loving the Boardwalk Empire theme song...
-
My old favorite was the Weeds theme. I was really pissed when they stopped using it.
Californication is probably my current favorite.

Artists that are not in the RRHOF that are better than most of those nominated this year:
The Cars
Cheap Trick
Chicago
The Cure
Deep Purple
Def Leppard
Dick Dale
Gram Parsons
Herman's Hermits
KISS
Lou Reed (solo)
MC5
The Monkees
New York Dolls
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Replacements
Three Dog Night
Yes
and many, many, more...
I totally agree, but one person who without a doubt should be on there is Warren Zevon.

I'd like to see Wilco go more in this direction...
-
I think it's time for Wilco to unleash The Funk!
-
That's a no brainer!
Poor Places.

Basically, Glenn's drumming has become really sloppy. There's been rumours for months.
Seriously??? I guess I'm out of the loop. I just find this hard to believe! I've always thought his drumming was perfect every time.

And for some reason Sonny Feeling still makes me smile. I like the "ahs" by John and Pat leading up to "remember to show gratitude."
I really love that part of the song too. It reminds me of The Beach Boys.

This is really hard, but at the moment, my list would go:
1. Life Aquatic
2. Fantastic Mr. Fox
3. Darjeeling Limited
4. Rushmore
5. Royal Tenenbaums
6. Bottle Rocket

I love Ashes and probably watch it more than any other live DVD I own, But it's one major flaw is that it's missing some essential live Wilco songs.
Some big ones I think SHOULD be on the next live DVD are:
Misunderstood
Poor Places/Spiders
RedEyed/I Got You
Hoodoo Voodoo
Radio Cure
What songs does everyone think must be included if there was another DVD release?

I wonder if Craig is a fan and that's why he mentioned Solid Sound, or if they told him to mention it.
-
I hate to say it again, but You and I is WAY cheesy. There's good cheesy to me (HMD is in that category) and bad. You and I is hard to take.
Okay fine, I'll admit You and I is a bit cheesy.
I just think it's funny everyone's all the sudden obsessed with the word 'cheesy' in this thread.
-
And how could it be cheesy when he manages to bring so many of us back to a simpler time? It's not cheesy or schmaltzy if it makes you feel something nice. I like this song and sing along loudly when I hear it.
I agree completely. In fact, I've never thought any Wilco song was "cheesy".

It is a great song. Just not the song they should have played after being introduced as "the best rock band working in the world today". (And Ferguson was absolutely sincere)
To seal that the deal for that kind of introduction they should have played Bull Black Nova.
Agreed. I was really hoping for BBN myself. You gotta love Craig's taste in music though. I hope he has them on the show again soon. Maybe with a new song...

I love the lyrics to Reservations, and I definitely think it's one of the best love songs that Jeff has written.
"I'm bound to these choices so hard to make/I'm bound by this feeling so easy to fake"
I think the song really shows off Jeff's ability to make such simple lyrics carry so much emotional weight.

Man, not a lot of love for Deeper Down here. True, it never takes off and is not a particularly hard-hitting tune, but I think there's a lot of interesting stuff going on in it. The lyrics, the dark melody, and Glenn's superb but subtle drumming make it a great song IMO.

I love Heavy Metal Drummer. It's not one of my favorite Wilco songs, and I don't get very excited when they play it live either. But I still love it because it was how I was introduced to Wilco. Someone burned me a CD with Heavy Metal Drummer and Jesus, Etc. on it and the rest was history. I was hooked. As someone else said, I think the song is about looking back on simpler, more innocent time in life. A beautiful song, and not cheesy at all in my opinion.

While my girlfriend and I were waiting in line last summer at Redrocks it started pouring down rain. I mean like a downpour. The sky just opened up and unleashed it. Everybody's stuff started to get washed away and everyone crowded under these guys' tent thing for cover. There were like twenty something people stuffed under this tent, and everyone was just drunk, dancing, and holding onto the edges of the tent to keep it from blowing away. It was ridiculous. And suddenly it all stopped and the sun came out. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful nights and one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The weather, the scenery, and the band were all perfect, especially from the 5th row.
That's weather in the mountains for you.
