  1. Even though I'm still to get the first one out (problems with parents' PC!), I'm ready to go again...I'm at me folks agin this weekend (I can't wait for the day I get me own...just over a month now!!) so will get going if it's up & running again and finally upload the first one...

    Who's in?

  2. I had a feeling that's the case for many people. I am a huge McCartney fan and that is an ugly song. It's just got some amazing slide work from George and a great groove. I definitely hear what you are saying but it was an honest reaction to what he perceived as slights from Paul and as a scathing attack I think it succeeds. I figure they got over it so what the heck.

Yep, How Do You Sleep is a fave of mine! They're coming to me in bits and bobs these...anyone for Paul's Calicco Skies (sp?), beautiful! In fact, Flaming Pie is a great album!

  3. Michigan band, saw them at the Windmill in Brixton last week and they blew me away - one of the best gigs I've ever witnessed!

Perhaps the venue led somewhat to that conclusion by way of the atmosphere but they are indeed brilliant.

Anyone else familiar? Am I just a latecomer?

  4. Hi,

As my girlfriend can't get leave from work, I'm left with an extra ticket for the London show.

I posted a message to the "Got Extras" part of the forum.

Contact me if you're still interested.

Thanks Samuel! Just PM'ed you, hope I'm not too late? Will also drop you an e-mail now too..

  5. Any rules apply to this mix-off? Usually we've have a limit to ten songs, and sometimes even a theme?

Equally, we could have no rules, which would ultimately mean me sending twigboyjoe a 'Best of Shed 7' triple cd-set.

Haha, blimey...you have some intuition - I used to love Shed Seven!! I'm on standby... :)

  6. i love em all, but i've been listening to Summerteeth more than I ever had and it's really opened up for me.

    Summerteeth

    Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

    Being There

    Kicking Television

    Wilco (The Album)

    AM

    A Ghost Is Born

  7. I just presumed this song had been found but entered the thread and alas not...Let me join the search, though I hold out little hope, sorry.

Still, at least the suggestions have thrown up a few good songs too eh, a lot of good coming out of this! :)

  8. I'm in. Digital vibes can be sent and would be gratefully received. With a logistics head on, and to keep costs down, I could pair up with twigboyjoe as he's a Laaahdaaaarn lad, from saaaaarf of the river, so I can easily package up the goods being UK based.

You done your research well! :)

Sounds good to me, happy to sendspace too if that's preferred?

  9. I'd be interested to see how many people actually go for the 'souvenir ticket' option...I mean, that's just a bleedin scam isn't it?!

I'd take the money (esp at some of those prices!) any day....sure, a ticket would be a 'souvenir' but that's all it'd ever be - I just hope people don't go thinking it'll be worth something in years to come - I mean, 50 dates x 10,000 souvenir tickets...it's hardly limited edition is it??

  10. First impressions are good! :) Think it's been said before, but Blue album Weezer springs to mind immediately...in a good way, not copycat or anything.

I believe better (beefier maybe?) production and a bit of variation in sound / instrumentation would help define it as it's own, but again I think these points have been covered and I'm well aware of how much time & money comes at a premium! Look forward to giving it a proper listen over the next day or two, more detailed thoughts to follow...
