  1. I have Orchestra Right Row B for the show in NH on Wed. I got a call from the venue saying there may be a visual issue, and offering a seat 15 rows back. Any insights as to what this would be and whether I should move or take the original seats? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  2. Good thread

How about Thee Monkey Butlers (and yes, it is "thee" not "the")

    Caca Jesus

and any of those Jam band thingies that combine nature and vehicles of some kind, like " Old Tyme Mountain Train" or "Great Smokey Love Bus"

Iron Smurf was a band that I was in back in high school, had some nice art work.

XTC - great band horrible name.

    Ed Gein and the Gravediggers

  3. My students don't use anything - or even use anything that would go in or be stored legally in a backpack. They also don't necessarily wear coats in the winter, as it is apparently "cool to be cold" (unreleased Dave Edmunds outtake). As a result, they don't do their hw, come to class prepared, take notes,or return the book that was issued to them at the end of the year.

    Thank God for summer vacation.

Congrats on the prep school placement, I hope that Little Miss Brokendowntele ends up in one, as she finds public school "chaotic".

  4. As one who has danced with HR many times in my capacities with the teacher's union, a job description is not a legally binding document, and usually includes clauses such as "And other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary." As a side note, and certainly not a judgement, there are waaaay too many off the main road issues with this job opportunity, and those kinds of complicated arrangements always find a way to get f'ed up.

  5. I get it, but I don't like it. There is still the pending indictment, once one issue is resolved, another arises. Also, we were tense the last few minutes, on edge, looking around suspiciously. That is what it is like to be Tony. Even when doing what "normal" families do, there is always the possibility of trouble.

  6. I think we are supposed to feel the walls closing in - where will the hit come? The Feds, Paulie, Bobby, Christopher, AJ or Carm in rage, Hesch, NY - I think we are building cases for all these possibilities. Also, he is self sabotaging - being messy, so something is coming, which he usually slides out of, but will he now?

  7. As a lifelong NH democrat, I have seen a lot of politicians in my life. I have no confidence in any of the front runners: I believe Hillary is unelectable, Obama does not have the experience, and Edwards has already lost a national election. I want a candidate who will WIN, fight back against the GOP smear tactics, and bring us back in the right direction as a nation. Is there anyone of these "contenders" who fits that description. I don't know, yet. Dodd seems fine, but I am wary of the national appeal of a New Englander. My late grandfather was a state supreme court justice in CT, and thought very highly of him (and not at all Liebermann). Candidates like Kucinich and Gravel on national TV hurt the appeal of the party to the average American, much as I respect their courage and opinions.

Should be an interesting next 18 months.

  8. I think Tony whacking Paulie has more to do with Tony being aware of the limited tenure of men in his position, and how he must minimize risks in order to stay alive and out of jail. If he can't trust Paulie, then Paulie is a liability.Being annoyed with him is a way to disassociate himself from him.

  9. I can't recall the first album, as I am sure that it was a children's record of some kind, my guess would be a narrated Peter and the Wolf with the Tchaikovsky behind it.

My parents took me to a lot of fiddler's festivals and things like that in the early 70's.

My first "real" record was a 45 of Manfred Mann's "Blinded by the Light", and my first concert was The Motels in 1983 or 84.

  10. Not only did the tension build through Monopoly, but from the moment they got to the lake house. Whether the kids were going to drown, there was a sense of discomfort.

The DNA could be an issue in several ways - was any of Tony's blood or sweat still on Bobby?

Will Bobby get caught and bring down Tony?

Is Bobby in a position where he has to whack Tony?
