While I've seen the Decemberists a handful of and they are in large a good live act this show left a horrible taste in my mouth. They only played for a little over an hour and the setlist left a lot to be desired. It looked like Colin just wasn't into it for some reason but the band never mentioned the extremely short, Luke warm performance afterwards. Just disappointing knowing what they are capable of.

I'll bite because I absolutely love reading you're favorite shows from the year. This year marks the first time I've tracked all my shows and rated them. Total shows 32. Here are my top ten: 1. I have to wrap 3 shows in to one as I want no repeats. MMJ at red rocks for 2 nights and 1 hometown show in Louisville. Absolutely incredible performances from maybe the best live band going. 2. Steven Wilson at theVic theater in Chicago. This man is a genius with possibly the best cast of musicians with him that I've seen live. 3. Gojira at the Fillmore in Detroit. Absolutely crushing show from on

We're all over this show! Coming in from MI and spending a few days in Chicago built around this concert. I think this one is going to be special and we're really looking forward to it. Ok my other jacket fans on this board... we went to their hometown shows in Louisville last weekend and they were some of the best shows I've ever seen period! The band is completely on fire and having a blast. Jim is much more mobile than last year and sounds better than ever. If you are planning on attending the red rocks shows as we are, you're going to be blown away. If you're not planning on attending... you should reconsider.

In my opinion, MMJ is one of the very best live bands going right now. Their ability to absolutely blow roofs off of venues on any given night is almost unparalleled. My wife and I are going to the 2 night run at red rocks in May and couldn't be more excited. Perfect band for that space.

Well I would call that a bust. Tried getting good seats in both of the presales and today. Signed in right on time and had the site crash or freeze on me all three times. Had good tickets in the cart each time and by the time I got back in all good seats were gone. Talked to Etix rep who basically said that's how it goes and there was nothing they could do. I hope you all had much better luck than I did. It just grinds my gears that hundreds of pairs of these tickets will be on stubhub today.

Hey ablair! I second your sentiments about this show. I also just saw Wilco for the first time last year at the Americanarama festival in Detroit last year and was blown away. I went mainly for MMJ and was a casual Wilco fan at the time but they are just one of those bands that are considerably better live than on record. Went to this show with the wife and we both walked away absolutely loving the performance. Jeff was on his game both vocally and his humorous side really came through with his between song banter.
