  1. yeah, no hurry. what have you been doing at comicon?
  2. i would like to have a board like his.
  3. that would be fantastic if you could do that. i am always in awe watching him play and haven't really made an effort to seek out some of his material for some reason. i am going to see what i can find via torrents and local record store but a mix would be awesome. thanks a bunch.
  4. do they always cover that album in its entirety? what else has nels been known to play?
  5. anyone else happen to catch them this weekend? i got there a few minutes after their set began and got a good spot off to the left side of the stage where i could see perfectly. i am not too familiar with nel's work but after this weekend will definitely be checking it out. nice to see nels and glenn will be through columbus this september. it was nice seeing john hanging out behind the stage as well as glenn talking to one of the guitarists from the national. i wasn't able to catch glenn's set later in the day because i wanted to be right up front for yo la tengo so i had to wait by one
  6. can't complain about a little neil. but yeah, i knew he hosts that open mic night there but i didn't know he played. does he do a lot of covers, new songs, etc?
  7. oh yeah, the whiles did a kickass version of gram's "wheels". nice little surprise.
  8. i know that there are a few people on this board who like the whiles so was just keeping them updated. new songs sounded real real good and it was said that the new album should be out in september. also, they played with another band called southeast engine who are from athens, oh who were unbelievable. just simply fantastic. i am sure many people around this board will dig both bands very much. www.myspace.com/thewhiles www.myspace.com/southeastengine
