  1. I really enjoyed the show last night. I’ve seen Wilco about 20 times over the past couple decades but haven’t seen them since Solid Sound 2015. I didn’t realize how much I missed this band! The stalwarts like “Via Chicago,” “Misunderstood” and “Impossible Germany” were great reminders of what an amazing live band Wilco is and the new tunes (specially “We We’re Lucky” and “Everyone Hides”) fit in great. It was a pretty great mix of tunes. Obviously they’re promoting a new record and are going to feature most of those tunes but they hit on all other records except for “the Whole Love.” Only complaint - I would have loved more “Star Wars” since I didn’t see them on that tour and love those songs. Jeff seemed really psyched to be in Nashville and was having a lot of fun with the crowd. Funny banter moments included loving when a guy shouted out “you still got it” since apparently that’s an inside joke among the Wilco band and crew and then when he was confused about what some women was yelling out and he turned to the band and mumbled in a high voice “what the fuck is going on..”

  2. I was bummed cause I tried via the Ticketmaster app which I usually have great luck with and when I logged on at 11 on the dot, I was informed that they weren't selling via the app - so I missed my shot at good seats.  bummer!

  3. Thanks to a weekend of long drives I listened to the record at least a half dozen times and I LOVE it!  It's the kind of raw, fuzzy record they've hinted at with tunes like "I Might" or "I'm A Wheel" but the concept feels fully realized here.  Jeff & Nels' guitar work shines along with Glenn's drumming.  And the tracks themselves feel less crowded instrumentally.  I think the last few records may have suffered from 6 guys all adding something to the soup of EVERY song.  I don't hear six unique voices on these songs which is refreshing and reminds me a bit of AGIB.  Really looking forward to seeing these songs live!

  4. Nice work, that sounded great. I am trying to talk the band in to submitting something. We already do Cold rain and snow, New Minglewood blues, Fire on the Mountain, Eyes of the world, I know you rider, and a few others. Just need to get something on video.

thanks a bunch. Post any videos y'all end up making!

    hope that screws over scalpers!

  6. Well, I think they usually get 10% of the tickets to release at presale and since bowery is under 600 capacity, that means less the 60 tickets. Don't know how none of us got any since it seems we were all on it right at 10 though.

  7. I'm digging it! I've been anxiously awaiting a follow up to "Acid Tongue" which I thought was one of the best records of that year. This isn't exactly what I was hoping for but it's pretty great nonetheless! I'm seeing them at Maxwell's in Hoboken next month which is a TINY club for them. It must hold like 150 people max.
