  1. the new album is really great, you should definitely pick up a copy.

was he there solo, or with the full band?

He was solo. We felt kind of bad for him, but we were glad he continued on and gave us a great show. He is an amazing guitar player and has a beautiful voice.

  2. I have never been to a show with so few people. I realize it was a Sunday night and Chris didn't come on until 11:30pm, but come on, the guy is amazing and he has like 6 records out. Anyway, counting the opening band who drank a few beers during his set, there were 12 people at the Entry for the show. Chris asked if there was anyone there he didn't know and then someone suggested he dedicate each song to someone there by first name. Chris joked that it would be a pretty short show if he did that! He played alot of stuff off his newest album (which I don't have) and anly a few songs off the two I do (Kiss It Goodbye and Silver Lining), but it all sounded great. He played several new, untitled songs that he is working on and he also played a childern's song called "I Wish I was a Bomb." :lol

I think my wife and I were the only people in the joint that Chris didn't know and after the show he came up to us and thanked us for sticking around. I asked him if this if common and he said that unfortunately it was more common then he likes to admit. He was a very nice guy and a great musician to boot. If he is playing near you I highly recommend him. He is well worth the $7!

  3. Serak, there was an entire run of dates that he had to postpone due to scheduling conflicts apparently

That sucks - the wife and I were looking forward to our first show at the Varsity. I tried to see Andrew Bird there but it got moved to the Pasta Bar next door.

Any word on what to do with the tix we already bought?

  4. This doing a song without a mic is really the shtick of the year isn't it?

Josh is really pretty good live - and he has been singing sans mic for at least the past 2 years. Anybody know why his Minneapolis date is postponed?

  5. Here is my first attempt at a Yousendit - thanks to Parisisstale for helping out! The first video (quicktime) is Neko perfoming "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood." If this works I will upload additional videos if you guys want me to. This is from Neko's first show of the current tour at First Avenue in Mpls.

Let me know if this works - fingers crossed :thumbup

  6. I have some Neko viseos from the first show of the tour at First Ave. Can someone walk me through how to set up a link here from Yousendit? I asks for the email address for the person you want to send the files to...how do you set up a link that everyone can click on and download? My videos are better quality than those from Pabst Theater.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  7. A friend sent me the link for this. It's not the greatest quality, but it's a nice souvenir from the Pabst show.

I took video of 4 full songs from the First Ave show, but unfortunately I don't have the time or knowledge to upload these to a site where people can get them. I have quicktime videos of "Furnace Room Lullaby," "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood," "I Wish I was the Moon Tonight" and "The Tigers Have Spoken."

The audio on my camera was suprisingly good. The video quality varies from decent (2 songs) to barely watchable (blurry on 2 songs).

I was in the balcony so I have an overhead shot of Neko. I am generally happy with the results. The show was simply beautiful.
