What? No Spiders (Kidsmoke)?

This place still going strong I see. Impressive when you think that the Facebook behemoth has steamrollered most internet forums.
-
Listened to Sukierae today at work and this even it's been A.M. and Being There and now I'm here. So there's that....
-
This place is still here.

I really like it. Shades of early Bowie and Blur from some tracks. Less sprawling than 22 Dreams.
-
Loving this track. Very early Rush vibe off it. Really looking forward to the album.
-
All the metallers still here. That's good.
I really liked that Metal Evolution actually. Was only shown here recently along with Headbanger's Journey.
-
So, the general consensus is that the new album is a thumbs up then?
-
I've actually suggested to him more than once that he should cover some Sabbath songs that way. One of these days, he may just actually do it. I don't know why he picked a crap Iron Maiden song when there so many good Iron Maiden songs he could have covered.
It may not be a stellar Maiden song but I think he renders it quite lovely to be honest. Not many could make a ropey song sound better by covering it.

Surprisingly enough, I am really enjoying this. Haven't listened to it in absolutely ages and it sounds great.

Not my bag, musically speaking, but what a show woman. She was easily the highlight for me on the television coverage of Glastonbury.

Oh My Heart
Another new track now streaming via NPR
I like this one too, Mills backing vocals on it are a little intrusive though and grating.
-
That is fantastic. I am really loving what I have heard from the new album so far.

*sigh*
There's always next year....

I think this is a fantastic album, start to finish. F@cking great. Also, no matter what solace says THOL is a staggeringly great record!

I like Jason's stuff a whole lot and this new one is right up my street. DBT lost a mighty weapon when Jason left.

Looks the like the Jayhawks are back in full force!
Let's hope so this time and let's hope that they get some decent sales and gig attendances. If ever a band deserved another bite at the cherry...

Nixon era live performances were fantastic. Fantastic chaos.

I'm voting for Friday Night Lights too but the title song played over the credits is by W.G. "Snuffy" Walden and not EITS. It does rather sound like it though. I adore the title music, always makes me shiver.

after trying to hold up and read stephen king's "under the dome" (it's huge!)
Pretty much exactly the reason I got me a Sony e-reader. I thought it was easier than hiring two strapping young men to hold the book for me while I treid to read it in bed.
I love this Sony thing though....I have been reading a whole lot more since I got it.

Yeah, I do miss Jimmy's drumming, but I guess it's a non-issue now. So far, this "album" has been far more entertaining and engaging than their last one. Overall, I think Billy likes this line up more than the last and he's enthusiastic about it and you can really tell by the music.
Judging by his tweets he is majorly enthustiastic about this line up.

I really like the album and I am no big fan of Plant's solo output at all. I am more pleased for the dolla' bills that will be winging their way to Low as a result of the covers.

Afternoon VCers. It's been many a year since I posted here. Just to confirm that it was a fantastic night in Cork. Jeff in nicely acerbic, funny form and the band...goodness, what a unit. Stunning playing from everyone involved. Good crowd vibes and a singalong to *that* part of Spiders. Wilco....still got it. 😊
