I thought I would share this band/review. This is not totally a shameless plug as the band is friends of mine and I did the CD artwork, none the less, I think Wilco fans would like this
Americana UK 8 of 10 Stars
Scott Silipigni might not be a familiar name and its certainly one that

Haha I'm sorry I promise theses things and then forget about them, but here they are.
Majority of the song works off of
A, D, C#m, D
and then goes to this
A, Adim? (A, Eb, C), B/D, A
And that's it!
Can someone, anyone finish this? Can you include a chord chart for the second part?
I HATE IT HERE
Intro = A D C#m D
A.................D
I try to stay busy
C#m................................D
I do the dishes, I mow the lawn
A...............................Cdim
I try to keep myself occupied
..........Bm..........................................A
Even though I know you're not coming home
I try to keep the house nice and neat
I make my bed I change the sheets
I even learned how to use the washing machine
But keeping things clean doesn't change anything
What am I gonna do when I run out of shirts to fold?
What am I gonna do when I run out of lawn to mow?
What am I gonna do if you never come home?
Tell me, what am I gonna do?
I hate it
I hate it here
When you're gone
I caught myself thinking
I caught myself thinking once again
Have to try to keep my mind out of this
Try not to pretend
I'll check the phone
I'll check the mail
I'll check the phone again and I call your mom
She says you

Anyone find any(Work up on your own) tabs or chords for the new alboom yet?
This is incomplete..
You Are My Face
Intro: D strum...
[D]I remember my mother's sister's husband's brother
[G]Working in the gold mine, full time, filling in for sunshine
[D]Filing in to tight lines, ordinary beehives
[D]The door screams i hate you, hate you
Hanging 'round my blue jeans
[D]Why is there no breeze?
No currency of leaves
No [G]current through the water while
No feelings i can see
I [D]trust no emotion
I believe in locomotion
I've [G]turned to rust, as we've discussed
Though I must have let you down too many times
In the [D]dirt and the dust
GUITAR BREAK= Bm, Fm, Em etc(?)
I have no [bm]idea how this happens
All of my maps have been over[Fm]thrown
Happen[Em]stance has changed my glance
So many times, my heart has [Fm]been outgrown
Now everybody's feeling all alone
Can't tell you who I am
When everybody's feeling all alone
Can't tell you who I am
I am looking forward
Toward the shadows chasing bones
My face is stitched and sewing
Our houses hemmed into homes
Trying to be thankful
Our stories fit into phones
And our voices lift so easily, a gift given accidentally
When we're not sure we're alone

I'd appreciate it Sol!
I transcribed the lyrics. Some questionsable translations.
These Things
? the wind
Kiss the rain
Drink in the sun
To burn away the pain
Wiskey good too
There's just a few
These things we'll do
'Til I find you
These things we'll do
I'm looking still
Sunshine or pills
I'm looking 'til
'Til I find you
These things we'll do
If you need love
Go and get some
I'll understand
It's what young people do
Take what you need
Save yours for me
If a substitute
Will let you through
These things we'll do
I'm looking still
Sunshine or pills
I'm looking still
'Til I find you
These things we'll do
I'm looking still
Sunshine or pills
I'm looking still
Sunshine or pills
I'm looking still
I'm looking still

I have had the solo album since Christmas, but am just getting around to listening. I like it, a lot.
Well, I really like the 1st track, These Things. Wondering if anyone has, or knows where I can find the chords/tab for this song. I am pretty sure it starts Em, but from there, my ability to decipher chords is failing me.
Any help is appreciated.

Is Sandler purposely looking like Dylan in that trailer?

Anyone have access to the most recent soundscan results? Interested in the total units sold for Amos Lee and Ben Kweller albooms.

I can't believe I forgot this one!!!
I don't know if he wrote it, but the version I know, is his! Clarence Carter has a version too, but BB's is unbelievable. Read it all... it is tough not to get a lil choked up!
Patches
B.B. King
I was born and raised down in alabama on a farm way back up in the woods. oh
I was so ragged folks used to call me "patches". papa used to tease me about
It, but deep down inside dad was hurtin' 'cause he'd done the best he could.
My papa was a great old man
I can see him with a shovel in his hand
Education that he never had
But he did wonders when the times got bad
The little money from the crops we raised
Barely paid the bills we made
Oh life whipped him
Down to the ground
When he tried to get up
Life would kick him back down
On the day papa called me
To his dyin' bed
Placed his hand on my shoulders
And in tears he said
Patches
I'm depending on you, son
To pull the family through
My son, it's all left up to you
Two days later papa passed away
And i became a man that day
Everyday i had to work the fields
'cause that's the only way
We got our meals
See, i was the oldest of the family
And everybody was depending on me
Now the years have passed
And everybody's grown
Mama's been livin'
In a brand new home
Lord knows it took
A lot of sweat and tears
And my daddy's voice
To help us through the years
He said -
Patches
I'm depending on you, son
To pull the family through
My son, it's all left up to you
Daddy had been sick for a long time, flat on his back. every evenin' after
We'd finish our chores and eat our dinner, we'd all go into papa's room to
Cheer him up a little. and this particular day dad was in good spirits,
Sittin' on the side of the bed, tellin' mama how good she looked. when all
Of a sudden, papa had a pain in his chest. i was too young to understand,
Talkin' about a heart attack here. mama rushed us all out of the room into
The hallway. about ten minutes later she came out with tears in her eyes.
She called out to me, "patches, patches, get in here, boy. your daddy wanna
See you." i went runnin' into papa's room, there papa lay. daddy had tears
In his eyes. i knew something was wrong, daddy was a poor man, but all of my
Life he'd been a proud man. i knelt down on one knee beside the bed, papa
Put his hand on my shoulder. he said, "patches, patches, boy, the hammer of
Life done beat your old papa down to the ground, and i ain't got nobody to
Turn to to take care of mama and the younger. so what i want you to do is
Promise me, son, is that you're gonna do your best to help your mama as much
As you can." i said, "papa, i'm gonna do my best." but little did i know
Then like i know now, that tryin' to climb life's mountains searchin' for a
Top where there ain't no top, sometimes you find yourself frustrated, lazy.
But every time i feel like i can't live my life like i want to, my mind goes
Back to that day when i see those tears in my daddy's eyes. but most of all
I remember his words, "patches, i'm dependin' on you, boy." every time i
Feel like givin' up, i hear his voice. "patches, patches, patches, patches -"
I'm depending on you, son
I've tried to do my best
It's up to you to do the rest
Patches
I'm depending on you, son
I've tried to do my best
It's up to you to do the rest
Patches
I'm depending on you, son
To pull the family through
My son, it's all left up to you

would someone invite me? please IM if you can. Thank you! I'll PM back the correct email addy. Thanks

actually... I was listed/designated as "clever"
I believe I had the port forwading all set. When I first got the warning. I dl'd a couple VERY popular torrents, with lots of seeders. In hopes to be able to rectify or at last improve my ratio. Well... I would DL the torrent it would start say I was seeding, say ther where a lot of seeds, but never actually connect to any seeds and never UL a single bit of data.
I really want to get back on and do it right, so any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

So, my OiNK account got terminated because of my d/u ratio thingy. I just couldn't get the uploading to work. I consider myself a smart man, and one that is fairly computer literate, but I couldn't figure out why I couldn't upload to seeders, or even upload my own torrent. I tried uploading a Ben Kweller boot from the Point in Bryn Mawr PA from 2000... but for some reason it wouldn't work.
Well, so now I don't have Oink... which sucks!!!!
Question 1 - if I were to get a new invite, would I be able to reregister under new user name and pw etc?
Question 2 - anyone wanna invite me so I can try to make right and fix my u/dl issues?
Question 3 - If I get a new account, would anyone wanna walk me through verifying that my UL capabilities are all set?
Thanks

Beautiful song!!!!
The best part and one of my favorite single musical moments ever recorded happens exactly at 1:53 of the song. I have no idea why that transistion is so powerful to me, but it is. GREAT SONG!!

Any thoughts or feedback on Bruce's cover of I Want You?
-
-
I Want You
As sung by Bruce Springsteen on Feb 5, 1975
"The guilty undertaker sighs, the lonesome organ grinder cries
The silver saxophone should say, I should refuse you
Your cracked bells and washed out horns blow into my face with scorn
But it ain't that way, I wasn't born to lose you"
This IS the best cover Bruce has ever done,...and may just be my favorite cover by anyone, ever!
I'll even supply this LINK, so you can hear it!! Courtesy of http://www.backstreets.com/btx/viewtopic.p...2052312#2052312

"If you get close to her, kiss her once for me
I always have respected her for busting out and gettin' free
Oh, whatever makes her happy, I won't stand in the way
Though the bitter taste still lingers on from the night I tried to make her stay"
-
"If today was not an endless highway
If tonight was not a crooked trail
If tomorrow wasn't such a long time
Then lonesome would mean nothing to you at all
Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin'
Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin'
Only if she was lyin' by me
Then I'd lie in my bed once again"

it means i think his songwriting & lyrics could stand to mature a bit, and that i often am annoyed by the "hop on pop" type of songwriting lyrics, but maybe that's just me...
examples that really annoy me:
as i stated before, Lightning Bolt by Radish is still the best thing Ben has ever been involved with imo, and he was what, like 15 then?
Oh I see...
Come on, I know this isn't gonna go over well, because Tweedy is a genius and stuff, but Geezus. Stream of consciousness, none-sense is waaaay better! Sure.
When the devil cameHe was not red
He was chrome and he said
Come with me
You must go
So I went
Where everything was clean
So precise and towering
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9Once in Germany someone said nein
I'm a wheel
I will
Turn on you
-
it's pretty good, i still think his rhyme schemes are often pretty immature...
What does that mean?
-
Any other opinions on this? I thought there would be a lot of buzz around this. I think it is great, lyrically and musically. Besides he plays every instrument on the song (album).

OK... there's eight in a row from this guy. Man oh man i wish the Human Touch/Lucky Town releases didn't get in the way, because then there would be about 13 in a row... not including the live albums etc....
P.S. I didn't see Eli's post...Oh well screw it, I am keeping mine in tact!
