I can't get enough of the Hives
A sample of what it was like to
in San Diego on Saturday. The lead singer probably has the best on-stage persona in modern rock. -

-
Thanks for another racist, hate-filled post.
My bad....
Anyone have a recipe for caucasian chili?
-
Speaking of cheesy muscle-bound television, I think I'm addicted to "Ninja Warrior" on G4.
Months ago I watched a marathon of 'Ninja Warrior'. Awesome
-
I'm a big fan of White Chile.... mmm... wish I knew how to make it. I know that it has chicken, navy beans, and green chili.... anyone have any good recipes for white chili?

Radiohead covering Joy Division's Ceremony was pretty f'ing sweet

Also, we have the self proclaimed "Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe".
My friend was at the game and after they announced that my friend said "How do they know? The Universe is a vast place"
..... then....
the woman in front of him went ballistic exclaiming that "MY DAUGHTER IS IN THE BAND!"
to which my friend replied, "so"
I couldn't stop laughing

Plus they got to watch Stevie Nicks twirl a baton while wearing suede platform boots.
USC is lucky they didn't have to pay to watch that
-
I wonder if any of those dudes have ever sued for royalties?
I'm assuming that they received sunglasses out of the deal and the promise to appear on television if they ever re-unite.
-
Because they are the self proclaimed best marching band in the world, in my unbiased opinion?
fixed....
GO BLUE!!

I am 100% in favor of the writers requests, however, with that said, my hope is that they spend the time afforded by the strike to like, write a script worth watching or something or other.....
That goes double for those who write primarily for television.
so writers should make more than nurses? (I'm assuming writers make 45k-60k/year as I read in a different forum)
.... that doesn't quite make sense to me
edit: of course paying someone millions of dollars to impersonate the likeness of a fictional character doesn't make sense either
double-edit: paying someone millions of dollars to hit a ball with a bat doesn't compute well either

Radiohead - Rhinestone Cowboy (Glenn Cambell
I'm a pretty big RH fan and can't really stand that cover, nor their one of 'Nobody Does It Better'
-
U.T.'s version of the old standard "Moonshiner" has always been a favorite of mine.
oh oh oh oh... so good... I've also enjoyed their "I Wanna Be Your Dog" (Iggy Pop) as well
-
While shuffling on my ipod this morning, the Pixies' verison of Winterlong came up.
That's a pretty good cover.
Random ipod track this morning.... the Pixies' version of 'I Can't Forget' (Leonard Cohen)

What a great film! I saw it last Monday. Spectacular story. I love the manager's lines... especially the one where the guy demands his 20 quid.
-

Well the record has gotten good reviews (at least the ones I've seen). Anyone seeing them in LA on Wednesday? I'm really looking forward to it.
I'll be going to the San Diego show on Saturday.
