  1. So I got In Rainbows and OK Computer. So far I am impressed and can't believe I have gone this long without listening to Radiohead. :omg some of the layering is absolutely amazing and gorgeous.

If layers are what you enjoy, then you will adore Kid A

The B Sides from Ok Computer on "Airbag/How Am I Driving EP" are pretty damn good too

  2. I've recently started season 1, and I was pleasantly surprised at the music selections. Last night I heard some TV on the Radio and Bright Eye's cover of Devil Town. Excited to hear what's coming up on the next DVD episode

  3. Know of any good places to eat post concert in the vicinity or anywhere in downtown? Also, anyone know of any 'cheaper' parking spots downtown?Maybe I should just park in the casino, take the mover, and walk my way there for cheapness.

My sis (who lives downtown) claims that the only thing the people mover transports is urine.

Whenever I used to go there, I'd manage to get Opera House parking. Underground. $5.

  4. Jet - 2006 Spaceland, LA (living room of a venue). Y would anyone be jealous? Oh... the special guests on stage included....

The backup singers from Michael Jackson's Thriller album

    Chris Robinson (Black Crowes)

    Slash

    Steve Jones (Sex Pistols)

Flaming Lips - 2006 New Year's Eve, LA. Cat Power and Gnarls Barkley opened. Claimed to be the most balloons the Lips had ever used.

Strokes/White Stripes - Detroit, 200? - 1 of 2 shows they played together. Strokes opened up for the White Stripes.

LCD Soundsystem - El Rey Theatre, LA 2007 - Small Venue. Large Party.

hmmm... looking at the list now. not really brag worthy as others :brow

  5. "Rock" is such a broad term and it is a constantly evolving genre with many many many faces to it.

If such a genre exists today and I hate to label greatness like Radiohead or Wilco....

but for the new Radiohead all that comes to mind is a modern prog-rock
