I haven't laughed to tears this much in a long long time. So many great lines.

I went to the theatre saturday morning to see Talladega Nights. I didn't have high expectations thinking that all the funny goods were already shown in the previews. I was wrong. I laughed all the way through the film. I won't spoil much except this.....
As we were watching one scene, Mos Def is sitting with a guy that looks like Elvis Costello. I turned to my friend, and said, "Isn't that Elvis Costello?" ..... 5 seconds later, will ferrel's character asks the other actor, "Was that Mos Def and Elvis Costello?" I freakin lost it in the theater.
For a good laugh, I recommend the film, and I'm not a fan of Nascar.

When I stayed in Japan there was a sign on the bed that said, "No Smoking In Bed."
Immediatley I thought that there was no fun to be had.

I ventured to my local indie theatre to check this out last night. I was a bit disappointed that it was primarily a tribute concert of Mr. Cohen with interviews with him thrown in between. I tell ya what though, I didn't realize his writing was so profound. It made me realize how little I know, much less how to put it on paper.
The highlights for me were the songs by Rufus Wainwright, Beth Orton, and Antony. Although Antony has quite an image, he might have the best voice of them all. The finale was Leonard Cohen singing "Tower of Song" with his backup band being U2.
Curious what others took back from it?

Had this memory this morning.....
My dad April Fool'ed me as child and told me AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING that he got me the GI Joe aircraft carrier, but it was too big to fit in my room and it was in the living room. I ran out of bed to check out this monstrosity only to be devastated that it wasn't there. Worst april fools ever.

NO ONE MAKES FUN OF JEFF LYNNE, BUDDY.
Jeff is my fav Traveling Wilbury!!
I should have clarified that it was ELO Part 2 that I saw, sans Jeff Lynn in Muskegon, MI like 4 years ago. They played with the Muskegon symphony orchestra, and one of the lead guy in ELO part 2 had a key-tar

If I was to get my feet wet by venturing into some Sebadoh, what album do you recommend I start with?

Dude, I gave up on the Lions at least 5 years ago, and it shouldn't have taken that long. There's no reason to hold onto any hope for the Lions so long as the Fords still own the team.
But I have no where else to go

All that talk of ann coultier the other week. Not sure if anyone ever mentioned the letter that henry rollins wrote to her. If someone did, well then hear it is again

both teams may be good enough, that they're both going to end up in some big games against each other down the line.
Go Tigers!.... now only if my Detroit Lions could restore the roar, my life will be complete.
