  1. I went to Barnes & Noble with my 4 year old. She yelled, "THAT"S MR. JEFF!!!" when I picked up the magazine. I think everyone in the store heard her.

  2. I did the pre-order with the KungFu store and still don't have my package. As they've explained, it seems I'll get it some time next week, if at all. Am I the only one with this experience? It's extremely frustrating to say the least. I just wonder if I'm the only one who's had this problem.

  3. By request, I've been uploading on YouTube some clips of Steve Pride & his Blood Kin. For those that don't know, Jay was in the band in the early 90s and they made an appearance on Illinois public television. Played about a dozen songs and there's plenty of interview footage. I'll try to upload all of it in the next day or so.

Still stunned by this news after two days. I still want to believe it's not true.

  4. It was a great show and a wonderful setlist. My wife and I had a blast. It was great to see Wilco in Asheville again after a nearly 4 year break. Just hope the next show won't be 4 years away. It was good to say hello to Paul also. Hope they had a safe trip after the concert.

  5. The DVD Project is my baby and has been for the last 5 or 6 years now. With a big thanks to a lot of folks here, I gathered all kinds of live footage and started putting it all on DVD to share with everyone. It blossomed and ballooned into something bigger than I would've ever imagined.

  6. Whats wrong with the Thomas Wolfe?

My experience there is that there's no crowd control at all for a seated venue. None. It's a big mass of people who all want to be in the 1st row and nobody does anything to stop them. I don't know that I'm the only one who's had that experience, but I know you can't leave your seat because you'll never get back to it. And even if you did make it back, it would probably be occupied by someone else.

Other than that, it's okay. Not the best or worst venue around. I'll be there, but I live just down the road a short distance.

  7. 13 songs is a little bit disappointing. I know I haven't seen Wilco as many times as some people, but I have seen them roughly 30 times and it would great to have a video that truly conveys the concert experience without all of the interview/backstage stuff. I'd rather pay a bit extra for a 2 disc set with a full concert on one disc and an extra disc with interviews and backstage stuff, if it's necessary to include all of that. Otherwise, one concert with about 25 songs would be just about right.

  8. I've probably watched more Wilco video than anyone and I'm a little anxious to see how this DVD comes out. It was all shot in HD, so I would imagine a blu-ray disc wouldn't be out of the question for the future.

  9. For those of you who don't know, I am the innkeeper at The DVD Project. It started out about 5 or 6 years ago as a minor hobby and grew into something akin to a part-time job. I routinely spend 20-25 hours a week burning discs, answering emails about the site, and working on new discs. I've done that every week for the last 5 or 6 years, and I actually enjoy doing it a lot. Due to a shift in my ISP a few years ago, I decided to purchase the current domain name and a service plan with a web hosting company. I designed the site and do the updates, but they do the upkeep and maintenance work. I pay them to do that. I have never taken money for DVDs and never will, but I'm now asking for donations to help cover the costs of keeping the site online. If I can get enough to cover the costs for the next year or two, I would be more than elated. Please visit my site or contact me via email at JHamm10137 at aoldotcom for more info.

And if you're interested in just a B&P, my door is always open. I've never turned anyone away and I never will.

    Thanks!

    Jesse

  10. I've done a DVD of this show and included some footage from the Cubs game on the following day. Included the first pitch, 7th inning stretch, and interview from the bottom of the 7th inning. If someone wants to do a tree or vine or even a torrent, let me know. Or if you just want a B&P, email me. I'm happy to share it.

  11. If Hunger City returns, I'll probably start uploading a few on there. I don't normally do BT myself because my bandwidth is limited, but I'll give it a shot. Still open for B&Ps though, if anybody needs/wants one. I do about 15-20 B&Ps a week and am always open for doing more.

  12. Many thanks, everyone! Much appreciated. :D

As for a few questions, I haven't been to any Wilco shows since the first show in DC a few months back. Didn't make it to St. Louis but I bet there were some great shows there. It pains me to think it, but I'll miss the Cary show also. Just too far to drive with the price of gas being so high right now. Oh, well.

  13. Tonight's show is also being filmed.

Was good to see a few of you, though circumstances didn't allow for much interaction. Always good to see some familiar faces.

Had a blast at the show. One of the best Wilco shows I've seen. Very cool to hear Just A Kid. I'd never heard it in a concert setting before and thought it was great.

  14. If any of you fine folks recorded the E! thing, PM me. I was working on a SBS compilation DVD and could add it on there. Should've recorded it myself but had some equipment problems.

  15. I filmed a Blue Mountain show about 4 months ago. One of the more incredible shows I've ever seen. 40 songs total over about 3 hours and 10 minutes. I wasn't expecting a show like that so I ran out of tape during the final song. Was down to one camera for the last hour because of batteries. But it was quite a show. I highly recommend that everyone check them out. A great, great band.
