zoom
Wasn't aware Wilco did a version. Where would I find it? I've heard the UT version in their last show, but hadn't bothered to tab it out. Little Feat's version is in an open tuning, I believe. I've used open G and capoed it at the 2nd fret to get an open A and that works pretty well.
Pecan_Pie
I know it was on the AM Demos and it was a B-Side on the Box Full of Letters single.. or is I Am Not Willing completely different?

kaysettes
I'm pretty sure the song you're talking about is also known as Gone. Or maybe I'm wrong, again.
Beltmann
Hi Pecan Pie, I think you're looking for "I Am Not Willing," a Moby Grape song that Wilco covered. It appears in my A.M. demos, too. ginandcigarettes
Hey, here's my go. Never [D]doubtingAlways [C]faithfulShe re[G]turns[C] [G] [C] She says she [D]loves meAnd I could [C]alwaysCome to [G]her[C] [G] [C] ... and so on For best effect, hammer on the F# (second fret, high e string) when playing the D chord. The lead parts are mostly just G minor and major pentatonic licks played in the third and first positions, respectively. I can transcribe a few of them if you'd like. Guest christianrory
There's a great recording of Uncle Tupelo's final show at Mississippi Nights... They cover Little Feat's (Lowell George's) "Willin'" on the second disc. The name of that bootleg is "Not Forever, Just for Now" That cut rivals the softer original version by miles and miles. It really evokes the weed, whites, and wine. I love a good trucker song.
