Groo
I know this isn't technically a Tweedy song, but he does sing backup vocals on it, and it is really cool. This sounds pretty close to me, I played it using power chords. Let me know if this is accurate, I don't transcribe much. Intro: D D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you C G I feel it coming on again C G Just like it did before C G They fill your mind with boredom C D And they lead you off to war C G The way we treat each other C G Really makes me feel ill C G And if you're gonna fight C D Then you're just dying to get killed D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you C G A pox upon the media C G And everything you read C G They tell you your opinions C D And they're very good indeed D G C D I wanna destroy you G And when I have destroyed you I'll come pickin' at your bones And you won't have a single item D Left to call your own D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you (not sure about this last part) D C Wanna destroy you D C Wanna destroy you D C Wanna destroy you Edited May 26, 2006 by Groo

BolivarBaLues
I think that there's a F# bass note on top of the D, second measure of the verse progression. The Soft Boys are one of my alltime favs, along with The Band and Wilco. If this song is your only exposure to this great band, you should check out their classic Underwater Moonlight.
