LouieB Posted August 24, 2006 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Ken Vandermark is reconviening his Territory Band tonight at the Pritzger Pavillion here in Chicago (this is version 6) along with the Fred Anderson Trio (Harrisson Bankhead on Bass and Hamid Drake on Drums). This is a free show and the last of a series for the summer and a great opportunity to see the best of the Velvet Lounge musicians and the northside Chicago Improvisors (with some Europeans) at the new bandshell for free. The trio brought a little bit of the Velvet Lounge to the park as all three were fantastic as usual. Vandermark and his 13 piece band were also magnificant.
