HighFives
I'm here in oceanside CA for my first time and I was wondering if any of you knew of any good record shops in this part of town? thanks for any info
alison the wilca
i was born in oceanside! i also grew up in san marcos and lived there most of my life. the best record store is Lou's records on the coast highway in encinitas. they have a big "new" room and in the same parking lot, a big "used" shop (and a separate dvd/video store, too!). from oceanside, take I-5 south, exit encinitas blvd and go west, right on coast hwy and it'll be on your left up a couple minutes. 434 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA 92024 http://www.lousrecords.com/

I try to go there every time I visit my brother and his wife who live in Encinitas. Great place on a great stretch of coast. I tend to spend too much when I go there and not because of the prices. They have great prices on everything.
Sir Stewart
I lived in Encinitas for a bit. I miss Lou's. I bought The Headphone Masterpiece there for $11.

alison the wilca
yeah, my house was close enough my whole life that our house shook anytime they were doing an excercise involving large explosions at camp pendleton.
Sultan of Suds
I didn't last too long in Oceanside or the West Coast. When I think of the area now, i miss it. Carlsbad and Encinitas are such beautiful towns. I couldn't leave the "East Coast" no matter how hard I tried.

Sir Stewart
And don't skip out on In-n-Out Burger, if you're into that sort of thing. http://www.in-n-out.com/location_details.a...directions=true

Last time I was at In and Out I bought a 5 dollar gift certificate then bought a meal right after with my gift certificate. I don't really know why other than I thought it was really funny. El Picador
There is also a great little hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint right off the 5 and Santa Fe called El Nopalito. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In Encinitas.
