a.miller
Another story like this.... A guy I work with is really into some form of online multiplayer game. I guess a lot of people will use their character and build them up...stats, etc. and then sell them on ebay (this can take years). Some guy purchased his character, along with a number of other people's for over $1000 a piece. He submitted money to paypal for my friend, my friend sent him the character file....and then the guy stopped payment to the paypal account. So my friend was out the character. The guy who rips him off contacts ebay saying that my friend never sent him the file, and then decides to claim someone hacked his account and caused all of this. However, this individual did this to multiple people who documented it. My friend finally kept harassing this guy, even getting his phone number and contacting him. The guy replied that he did do it, and "try to catch me - you can't." As it turns out, ebay's policy is to always side with the buyer. So my friend and a bunch of other people got totally screwed by a well-thought-out scheme. People who do this kind of crap should be tracked down and be put in jail.
