John Smith
Any discussion here about the Open Season soundtrack? It has 8 Westerberg songs on it. All are pretty good and instantly recognizable as his work. I felt weird buying a CD with cartoons ont he cover, but really like it.

Embarcadero Eyes
I listened to it on myspace. I didn't know about the soundtrack, I just saw "Open Season" in the Lost Highway Records top 8 page and new something was up. Definitely good Westerberg work. I really dig. John Smith
8 Westy songs on the cound track. 1 each from Pete Yorn & Talking Heads and 2 from Deathray. I agree that it is his best since Stereo/Mono.
EL the Famous
CFMT was better than the tunes on this, IMO. but this is very good.
myboyblue
def his best work since Stereo/Mono fo sho Wow, I'm a bit surprised to see you say that. As a fanboy, it's difficult for me to agree or disagree. There really hasn't been much that he's put out that I haven't liked. On an almost separate note, I took my kids to see this in 3D and they loved it. It's a pretty funny movie and Paul's songs fit well. Even when this sonofabitch sells out, he's awesome.
