remphish1
Story on Brooklynvegan! http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2007...tmaster_su.html What a joke. TM says Stubhub is unfair in ubtaining tickets. How about ticketmaster is unfair in distributing tickets! Any msg show you can't get in the first sections even if you log on in 1 sec to buy tickets! Opinions!?
cryptique
They're both evil. TicketBastard is a monopoly built on greed, and StubHub is just a scalper with a website. Fuck 'em both.
Reni
I despise both of them.... I went to price Sox tickets the other day for Graham's birthday/Mothers Day (via Ticketmaster) and not only was I slapped with a fee PER ticket - but then when I saw the bottom line, it also included a $3.50 service fee.....not for postage, etc....just a service fee. I didn't buy the tickets and might just run to their box office next time I am down near there instead. Freaking ridiculous.
remphish1
On top of that what gets me is building facility charges. All tickets at the PNC this summer have a $6 building facility charge! Even if you get lawn tickets! What building are you using there! On top of that if you go to PNC's box office tickets are not service charge free becuase they claim to be a ticketmaster outlet instead of a box office. I then tried to buy tickets for other venues shows there and they said only pnc shows available! What a crock!

Surely you're not suggesting there aren't maintenance costs for the venue, simply because it is outdoors? Is there a pavilion? Toilets?

Surely you're not suggesting there aren't maintenance costs for the venue, simply because it is outdoors? Is there a pavilion? Toilets? I would assume the venue gets rented out and a fee gets paid by the promoter on top of that they do get a portion of the ticket price. I know there is maitenence but why should a lawn ticket and and orchestra ticket have the same building facility charge! $6 is excessive too!
MrRain422
At Pine Knob, in Clarkston, MI, all tickets purchased through Ticketmaster have a $3 parking fee attached to them. So it doesn't matter how many people you carpool with, every person is paying the same parking fee regardless. Worst fee ever.
