I like and respect Jeff's and Wico's music, but to say he is as important as Dylan or Neil is a joke. If he or Wilco are still making music on consistent basis 20 years then maybe we could revisit this

 

 

Uncle Tupelo formed in 1987 - which makes it 20 years for Jeff. I'd say he already has a pretty great legacy going. A lot of artists are revered after a single album.

No artist should be revered after one album, Neil and Dylan have been around for 40 years and still putting out great music, this is not a knock against Jeff but to compare them at this point is foolish. I do hope someday we can.

Yeah, I agree - I think that it is always cliche when reviewers compare artists.
