southern hotel foxtrot
What is the model of that big red gibson hollowbody that jeff uses alot? I love the looks and sound of that guitar. I wonder if he obtained this and untilized it for those great leads around AGIB era?
John Michael
I think that's the Gibson Barney Kessel he's got. First time I saw it was on the kicking television tour, but he has so many guitars....what do I know? Great guitar, not so great haircut.

iak
nah, the leads on AGIB are all SG through a tiny amp driven to its limit.
John Michael
Also, for the record, seems like he's had that guitar for a while. Check it: Rolling Stone Article Anyway, it's definitely not what he plays for the leads on AGIB lak said but I think it's used quite a bit on Sky Blue Sky. Like "Hate it Here." Check the bonus DVD, you can see it a lot.
owhatevernevermind
I think it is the Barney Kessel, (The big red Gibson,) but if you find Guitar World Acoustic, from a month or two ago, he talks about what guitars he used for the album.
