ChrisFFTA
I have been racking my brain at band practice trying to get the exact sound from my brain to the guitar. I have been using an ebow to bounce the strings with loads of reverb and delay and it is close but no cigar. Then whilst listening to Shot in the Arm I heard it... the start of that song is the sound I have been hunting. I imagine it is synths tho.. anyone know/ hazard a guess? So Long
it is indeed synths... sounds like a circuit dialog type synth effect if that helps at all.

Cheers mate, sure helps narrow things down alright. I am hoping to incorporate a laptop running Reason into my live setup soon, so I might be able to get the sound that way. John Michael
If you're gonna be running a laptop live I'd suggest looking at Native Instrument's FM8 and maybe Pro-53. They're some really great basic programs that are easy to use and setup live. Also they make B4 (for organs) and Acoustik Piano. I use reason too, and sometimes its really good and what I need, but other times it's really hard to get the sound I want quickly. Anyway, just some ideas.
