IcculusDC
I hadn't thought about chairs. Are they common and/or necessary to enjoy the festival? I figure we will get tired of standing for sure. Depends how much moving around you plan to do or if you have kids with you. If you are constantly moving from stage to stage I would not bring chairs. I don't think chairs are neccessary as you an always sit in the grass or hit the ATT tent to sit down and get out of the sun.
countryfeedback
I wish they would ban chairs. It's nearly impossible to move close to the stage when you have a thousand fat, stinky, hippie men and women clogging the way. A good portion of the audience plops their fat asses down in front of the stage making it impossible for the real fans to get up close and personal.

I've never brought a chair. I bounce around too much. but I sure have enjoyed the benefits from the folks who have... and also like having a "meeting place" for when its time get back together after splitting up. and fyi, if your schedule can spare it, and it's extra hot, I high recommend finding time to run over and jump in Barton Springs for 30 minutes. you miss an hour of the festival, but your body thanks you.
