socbret
There really isn't any better modern filmmakers than the Coen Brothers in my opinion. I'm excited about this one. Any word on a release date?
jenbobblehead
i thought this book was one of McCarthy's weakest. I was woefully underimpressed. It was as if the book was being written as a screenplay, knowing it would be bought and turned into a movie. I want to know when someone is going to make a film of Suttree, or Outer Dark or the Orchard Keeper.

Outer Dark was made into a film by some students at a university (can't remember the school), but they didn't have the funding to finish it. and the guy who directed "The Proposition," a great Australian western that starred Guy Pearce, is set to make The Road. jenbobblehead
I am in the middle of The Road right now and totally digging it. It is a true Cormac McCarthy, i think. No Country for Old Men just seemed like he mailed it in.
