giraffo
another possibility is that a good amount of suave literate penmanship in this book is also Dylan copping lines from old poets and writers.
WilcoOfTheDay
I'll join the band wagon on lovers of this book...would love to see a volume 2. And I thought it was pretty sweet to see how he mentioned Wilco and Bragg after he trenched through muddy cornfields or whatever it was to get those lyrics with nothing. redstripe
he could have made up a bunch of the details, like the curtain colors, and no one could/would call him on it. can't wait for volume two.
W(TF)
Yeah who knows. Dylan isn't always the most modest guy, I remember reading the incredible detail and thinking, he's grandstanding a bit; as in, "I've got a mind like a steel trap, ha." (which, of course he DOES) Nevertheless I was completely mesmerized reading Chronicles I. Couldn't put it down.
